E3 2017 was quite the showing. We saw games like Super Mario Odyssey, Spiderman (PS4), Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, Metroid Prime 4 & Samus Returns, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Sonic Forces and Mania, and more! Which excited you most and why?

My most anticipated game at E3 was probably Monster Hunter World, I've been wanting to play Monster Hunter for years but skipped it due to them being on Nintendo consoles. The last Monster Hunter game I got was on the PS2. I could've gotten Generations but what I really wanted was a full budget release on console. Now I'm finally getting that for the PS4 and although it won't be out until next year I'm more than willing to wait for it. The trailer for it was to me hands down the most good looking showed during this E3 though I think anything shown should be treated with scrutiny (just look back at Watch Dogs or No Man's Sky). I'm usually not one to get too excited about games, but considering how the series has held a very high standard I feel like it's a somewhat safe bet. Other than that I'm continuously excited for Kingdom Hearts 3, I've played all of the games in the series aside from Dream Drop Distance (which I will get to). Though my excitement has been dulled slightly on account of the problems they seem to have been having. Regardless what little has been shown looks really good and I will be getting it regardless of what it's like to see the conclusion of the story which I've been following since I was still in middle school.  Red Dead Redemption 2 also has me interested, the 1st is one of my favorites and as its Rockstar who is developing it I'm willing to bet it's going to surpass expectations. The same can be said in respect to The Last of Us 2. Those are the only games I can say with relative certainty that I'll be getting. 

I'm extremely excited for Star Wars Battlefront 2 and it having an actual story mode and more so that you get to play as one of the villains. The developers seem to have been listening to the complaints people had with the reboot of the original, on the other hand it's EA we're talking about. I can't remember the last time I really liked anything that had their name on it so I'm very cautious of them somehow screwing it up. I'll be looking at the reviews before doing anything. There are more games that definitely have me interested, the new of God of War looks like more of the gameplay that made the previous games so good and the new story/gameplay element of Kratos son does seem interesting. Marvel vs Capcom is definitely on my radar as it brings together some of my favorite Marvel heroes/villains (even has Black Phanter) with some of my favorites from Capcom. The inclusion of Mega Man characters looks like it will be really interesting. It has been somewhat of a new renaissance for fighting games recently though so I'm hoping it will do something gameplay wise as well to stand out. Finally although Death Stranding didn't make an appearance at E3  it still has me interested if only for the pedigree behind it in Kojima Productions. We barely know anything about it at this point but it does look intriguing. Wolfenstein 2 and The Evil Within 2 also looked very interesting but as I haven't played the originals I probably won't be getting them.

I wouldn't necessarily get hyped for new games just because the trailer looks good like the aforementioned pile of trash known as no man's sky where the developer basically said at the last minute that there won't be multiplayer that ultimately made the game less fun. Though if i had to choose, I kinda got hyped for the Metroid Prime 4, as I had played a couple games in the series before and it may be a good game after all....

Right now I'm really excited for the Futurama game. I can already tell that it's going to be one of my two most favorite mobile games of all time, and it comes out really soon.

*ahem* I'm very hyped for Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle to be in my collection... I can't wait to play these three, along with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Arms, of which i already got! (Yes, i recently bought Arms).

Noticed these are all Switch games?

They "announced" a new Yoshi game for Nintendo Switch, and I'm super hyped for it. It just looks so good and I love everything about the Yoshi series. Unfortunately though, right now it's just a working title. But before long we'll have news on the game, and maybe more gameplay. Can't wait.

I'm the most excited about Super Mario Odyssey because I really like the concept of Mario navigating a city and being able to use a hat for cool, unique actions. Plus, the graphics blew my mind when I watched the trailer.

The only console that showed any promise this year for me was PS4, which is actually unusual. I've never before walked away without seeing anything that looked good to me on Xbox and Nintendo systems. This was just a dead E3 though, and I had honestly expected as much.

That's not to say that the games I'm interested in are PlayStation exclusives necessarily (didn't check), but that there were no exclusives for the others that appealed to me, and no reveals at all that appealed to me during their conferences. The saddest thing was seeing Super Mario Oddessy looking so awful after I was excited to see a 3D Mario that looked to be in the 64 vein. :/



But what I did see that I liked... there were a decent number of games that looked nice enough, but few stood out enough to really grab me this year. Among those that did however are Monster Hunter World, Spiderman, Ni No Kuni 2, and Knack 2. Again, there were others that looked good, but those stood out the most to me personally.

I'm really looking forward to Super Mario Odyssey for the Nintendo Switch and Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for the 3DS, along with the Superstar Saga remake, and the new Pokemon game for the Switch. That's a lot of games!

Thanks to E3 this year, I have a nice little list that I've slowly been slimming down, and I think I have finally have something concrete. 

XBOX ONE 
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 ( because I own Battlefront 1 on my XBOX digitally ) 
Need for Speed: Payback ( This one I'm not sure about, but if MattyIce and Kruzer get it on PS4, then it's a definite get for PS4 ) 
Forza 7 ( Got to see those pretty graphics on the Scorpio ) 
Metro Exodus (Own the Redux versions, and recently started playing 2033 to prepare for Exodus ) 
PlayerUnknown's : BattleGround ( Honestly, I'll probably get this Day 1. If the achievements are easy, I'll probably get rid of it ( if you can buy it as a hard copy ) for a copy on the PS4. Again, it depends on MattyIce and Kruzer, as anything I get depends on what they play, since I don't play as much these days ). 
Life is Strange: Before The Storm ( Technically, I own this game on both the XBOX ONE and PS4, thanks to the PS+ membership, but I've only played it on the XBOX, so I'll be getting this on the XBOX cause easy achievements ). 


PS4 
Madden NFL 18 ( Now, I know I've said I was tired and done with the Madden franchise, but this new Story Mode has me intrigued. I'm getting it on the PS4 instead of the XBOX because I'm tired of semi-hard achievements, and because MattyIce is getting it, so I'll have somebody to play with once I get tired of playing it on my own ). 
Spider-Man ( Pretty obvious. I remember playing one of the Spider-Man games on my friend's PS2 as a kid ) 
Anthem ( Debating this one pretty hard. But, this one isn't supposed to come out until Summer of 2018 I think it was, so it gives me plenty of time to get a better look at it, and see what MattyIce and Kruzer think of it. It looks like a hybrid of Halo, Destiny, and something else I can't put my finger on ). 
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy ( Well, my ex-girlfriend and still good friend bought the Nathan Drake trilogy for me, so I'll probably have to have this. But, I have to have Uncharted 4: A Thief's End in my possession first before I will buy this ). 
Detroit: Become Human ( Another hard debating game. This is another 2018 release, so I have a good long while to look and learn about this game a little more, and see what I think about it. It looks really good and interesting. But, with all the other games I already have, and am currently planning on getting, do I really need this one. It's a definite maybe right now, but in order to make it a Must Have, they'll have to drop some killer news or something that makes my draw drop and go: Gimme Gimme Gimme ) 

I am most excited for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, whatever Pokemon they plan on releasing for the Switch, Metroid Prime 4, Metroid: Samus Returns, Super Mario Odyssey, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, Sonic Mania, Sonic Forces, and basically anything being released on any Nintendo console, even the finished version of Star Fox 2 that's coming to the SNES Classic later this year.

Since I was just going on about the old one in another thread. I really want to play the new Friday the 13th game. I know there have been many people talking about how bad the game is, but I'm a huge horror fan, and have played all the games based on horror movies, so why stop now. Plus, from what I've seen, it looks like a lot of fun. I just don't have the cash right now.

A lot of people are saying that the new Bubsy game is going to be garbage because Bubsy wasn't a mind blowing series in general. Granted I agree it's not that great, but the 2D ones were not that bad, I thought they were decent games, Bubsy 3D was the biggest pile of crap I have played, it's just awful. Granted I like seeing games that didn't fair well, kinda make a return with a new game, wish it would happen more. I know we are suppose to get a new Shaq Fu, and personally I didn't think that game was awful, it was mediocre at best.

Some games I am looking forward to? FarCry 5, I think that is going to be a crazy game, The Evil Within 2 looks bad ass, I loved the first game, I actually need to finish it. Cuphead is finally going to get a release, and I can't wait to play that. I know there are quite a few more games, especially from E3, but also new games being mentioned, for instance that new Fire Pro Wrestling game, I need to get that, might have to here very soon.

I'm looking forward to Metroid Prime 4, Super Mario Odyssey, the new Bubsy game, Sonic Mania, and the new Kirby game.

Right now I'm really excited for the Vita version of Undertale. I have the Steam version, but since it's Steam I can barely play it, so I'm really hyped to be able to play this on the go.

Being a Pokemon lover, I am very excited to play the Ultra version of Pokemon Sun and Moon. That is releasing soon in the month of November this year. Is anybody here with me in the queue for Pokemon Ultra version Sun and Moon.

I'm really wanting to play the new God Of War game. It looks like it's going to be very solid. From what I've seen from the trailers, it looks amazing. Mario odyssey looks like it is going to be a like of fun. I'm also still waiting to play the new Friday 13th game. I see they are making add ons and improvement all the time it.

I personally cannot wait for the Shadow of the Colossus remake! I loved the game and everything that came with it intentional or not! It's one of those games that I can play for hours and days and never get bored. There's only a few games that do this to me. I'm glad that Shadow of the Colossus is one of them. And I cannot wait for the Remake!!! Why do I have to wait? (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻)

I'm really curious on that new Spider-Man game that's coming out to PS4. It looks REALLY good and has a new villain in Mister Negative. If he's the only main bad guy or just a story arc in the game, we'll see. This is just feeling like a fresh game to sink me teeth into when the time arrives.
