I can remember playing this game when I was younger watching my mom do the puzzles in this game. This game offered so much than the original because this game was more family orientated. The two player action was more than enough to entertain your friends and family that is was just a fun night. Figuring out the bombs was a mighty challenge and how it made the puzzles interesting. I couldn't get enough trying to figure out each puzzle and trying so many different ways just to eliminate all the blocks on the stage. This game set itself apart from what the original offered. Yes, the original iconisized puzzle gaming forever, but this game introduced a new possibility in puzzle games. It surprises me that the creators didn't take this version further.

kirbmanboggle : After reading your tip I can agree with you to a point, but a review is different from a critique. You are not rating this game to help someone improve this game. A review is sharing with someone your view points on how you liked the game and what you don't like the game. As far as I can see there is nothing wrong with the review I gave. I followed the rule accordingly and I shared everything I liked about the game. I don't think anything else needs to be said about the game. I rated the came based on other SNES games I have played and the review was based on all the fundamentals I enjoyed about the game. We are dealing with a game that has been out for nearly 30 years and a critique at this point is not necessary.

kirbmanboggle :  I'm not offended. That's just my opinion. The tips are good and I think you should share them with people that needs help to give out a decent review. It also helps to take others opinions as well because there are people that are set on their standards and I've played video games for a long time. I spend more time playing the games rather than judging a game. I try to give my viewpoints on the game to see if people agree or not.

A review is more for other people to read to get an idea about how good or bad a game is, as you critique it and point out were the game went well, or needs to improve.

How you rate it in categories is also important.

This doesn't really have separately rated categories so that's why it was moved. That and along with the nature of the post to begin with, which was more leaning toward a discussion than a categorized review.

Sword legion : Like I have stated there is difference between a review and a critique. A review is based on one person's opinion of the game and basic discussion of the game. Though giving a review goes beyond this game is great or this game sucks. A critique is more directed to the creator of the game so they can know where to improve or if they are gaining the audience they need. A review you want would be boring to read and be uninteresting for a general audience. The review I gave of Tetris 2 would attract an audience better because I gave the distinct modes that were in the game. It would attract and audience better and get more people to try the game. I don't like to go into detail to give a review. If I read a review about a game I want to read how the player enjoyed the game. I don't care about graphics, story line, or anything like that. I want to know what the game is about and why you like it that would be easier for me to understand. I wouldn't even bother trying the game if you gave me specific detail.
