Reminiscence is the first entry in Gloomy Star's SMW hack series, The Lost Chapters. This is a Chocolate hack, with some custom touches into it, especially aesthetics-wise (graphics). It also includes a custom story, custom music, custom sprites, custom blocks and levels with varied design and sometimes with gimmicks.

Demo 3 includes worlds 1 to 6, with many levels for you to play! Includes 77 Exits.

Story:

Peach has a bad feeling. She feels that Bowser is up to no good. Mario is summoned by her and finds out that Yoshi offered himself to investigate Bowser's plan, since Mario was on vacation and needed some rest. Peach then assigns Mario to the task of checking out what happened to Yoshi, since he hadn't returned. When Mario arrives in Yoshi's Island, he hears Yoshi's screams in a hole and gets down there to save him. There were some of Bowser's minions in Yoshi's Island and when Yoshi was eavesdropping their conversation, he was surprised by them and was thrown into the hole. When Yoshi was explaining to Mario the situation, it was already too late. The plan was to make Mario come to the island, so Bowser could kidnap Peach and attack the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Yoshi manage to get out of the hole and go to Toad Town, which was completely burned by Bowser's minions. He discovers there that Peach was also kidnapped (as always). But it seems things won't be the same this time as he's surprised by a strange character who calls himself a professional spy. He offers his help to go first to Bowser's Castle to spy Bowser's actions, collect information and give them to Mario. Finally Mario starts his quest with many doubts in his head, but he hasn't time to think, as he once again has to save the day... (Don't worry, this will NOT be the generic princess-saving story. Actually, this piece of the story is only the very beginning of something much greater.)
