Still a better compilation game then action 52.I am so far in my vizzed Kirby spree! I have reviewed Kirby's dream land, Kirby's dream land 2, Kirby's dream land 3, and Kirby's adventure, Now I am on the 5th game of my Kirby spree, and this one if Kirby super star for the SNES, this is a compilation game, much like the dreaded action 52, But this one is way better, right? Let's find out.
Story-N/A
Since Kirby super star is a compilation game, there really isn't a story here, but like all games I review that do not have a story, I just decide to make my on up, And here it is, Kirby has been kidnapped by king dedede and now he must complete all these weird insane challenges to be set free! Ratchet deadlocked anyone?
Gameplay-7/10
Kirby super star is a compilation game, and since there are a bunch of games to play, I will go by them on by one, In spring breeze king dedede has kidnapped all the food of dream land so you must get all of it back! In great cave offensive, Kirby discovers this huge cave and he must now explore through the cave and recover as much treasures as he can! Well those are two of the games in this compilation, I really like this game, and here are a few reasons why, The first reason is that one, it feels really different then all other Kirby games, which is a huge plus, Two, all the games in this collection offer alot to do! But anyways, as you complete games, you will unlock more of them to play, each one is more crazier then the last, so be careful! There are also some "Other" Games on the main menu, but those aren't really all the much fun.
Graphics-9/10
At the time this game was made, the SNES was starting to die out a little and I say a LITTLE, and I can really see why, but anyways, the graphics in this game aren't too bad to be honest! The game truly holds that fresh Kirby feel that we can all see when playing these games, I mean when you say Kirby, you think bright and cartoony levels, fun characters, tons of replay vaue, and so on! As for the characters, they look awesome as well! Kirby looks fine, king dedede looks cool, and the amount of enemies Kirby will be facing of with is just overwhelming!
Sound-7/10
The sound in this game isn't really that bad as well! Again, the music in this game truly has that Kirby feel you always get when playing any of the games in the series! Every level has bright happy and cartoony music that really helps you prepare for each level after the last. The sound effects are amazing too, I mean sure you get some typical ones like entering doors and jumping, but that is good! Because you grow up with this stuff!
Addictiveness-7/10
Oh man did this game keep me busy for a long time! As you know, this is a compilation game, and those kind of games are supposed to have tons of stuff packed in the game to keep you busy for eternities to come! I remembered playing this one everyday and leaving it in my SNES for a week! Trust me, the game is that fun! You best believe it.
Depth-9/10
As I said a million of times already, the game offers alot of stuff to do to keep you busy! There are about more then 7 games in this compilation, so the game will take you alot to lose interest, Because the game is tons of fun! There is no reason to grow tired of this game, I mean It is Kirby you know.
Difficulty-7/10
Wow I am amazed! Some of the games in this collection can be really challenging! Mostly the arena, but words cannot describe the difficulty of this one particular boss in the arena, and this thing you call a boss is waddle Dee! I spent my whole life trying to beat this guy! And I still cannot do it!
Overall-9.3.10
You must buy this game, it is without one of the best Kirby games I have played in a while, heck if you can't find this game anywhere, Try the remake for Nintendo DS called Kirby super star ultra! It offers much more content, but anyways, this has been RedHotToddy, and I am signing out! See you guys in my next review!
