Chester Cheetah - Too Cool to Fool Review by: RedHotToddy - 6.9/10

Oh man do I love cheetos! And I'm sure that you guys love them as well! Everytime my favorite show back then went on commerical I was always treated to those funny but yet obscure commericals feauturing that orange cheetah that I loved so much back then! I then went to the video store one day and noticed they made a chester cheetah video game! Let's just hope this will be good, this is Chester cheetah too cool to fool for the SNES.

Story-6/10
The main plot behind this game is that chester cheetah's purple motorcycle has been stolen by the evil eugene the zookeeper and now h must travel though more then 5 big levels in order to retrieve them all back! This has to be his toughest challenge yet, But will he succeed? Let's find out!

Gameplay-7/10
In this action side scroller, you will take the lead role of the titular character Chester cheetah, as you guide our hero from point A to point B of each level defeating enemies, collecting helpful items,  etc.  The controls are pretty simple and easy to get the hang of, A is jump,  R is run, and I think that Is it, Not the most complicated controls, but not the best. Each level in the game has one part of our hero's motorcycle that you must collect, then It is on to the next. Chester will be fighting a bunch of enemies along the way, such as these spring dudes, turtles, evil fish, etc. items include paw-print tokens, which can be collected to increase your score at the end of the level, Orange paws which will regain half of your life, sunglasses which let you see hidden coins, and speed sneakers that let you run super fast. Chester can only take 4 hits before he is dead, 4 hits and you are taken to the continue screen. Anyways, that is it for the gameplay!

Graphics-8/10
If I am correct, This game was released in 1993, and for that time the graphics in this game look well done! All the levels you will be exploring are big, beautiful, and bursting with color! As for the characters, they look pretty recognizable, Chester does look like himself, and he has a couple of new enemies to face. The HUD is pretty self explanatory, It shows you your score, how much health you have left, your currently selected power, and a whole lot of other stuff.

Sound-8/10
Another good part of the game, the soundtrack! The songs in this game are very catchy, upbeat, and fun to listen to, such as the level 2 song! I couldn't stop humming It for a while! As for the sound effects, they are pretty good as well, You get your classic bonks, booms, boings, etc. I heard some people hate the soundtrack for this game alot, But those kids just have a bad taste in music! Sure the music can get pretty repetitive, But theres no problems at all.

Addictiveness-7/10
Is this a game I am going to play again? Yeah sure, why not? I mean the game does have It's moments at times, and that is a really good thing! It means that the game can be really fun at points, but other then that, I don't see any reason to call this game bad, I mean It is chester cheetah!

Depth-6/10
This isn't the longest adventure on the SNES, But at least It is the most affordable, The game is about 4-5 levels long, So It will probally take you about 30 minutes to beat the whole game, But after that, there aren't any much other reasons to play it, But what the heck! At least the game is fun!

Difficulty-7/10
Here is one of my my small gripes with the game, the difficulty level, For the most part the game can be pretty easy, But at other parts, the game can get flipping hard! I remember sucking in about 10 minutes on that mine level! Just because I couldn't work out how to beat that darn boss!

Overall-6.9/10
I was suprised by this game! Not only did It offer tons of fun for me, But it also managed to offer enough fun for a advertising game! I gave this game a 6.9 because how much It stands up by itself for a licensed game based off of a very tasty snack that I still eat today! Overall pick this one up! But it is cheetos though, So it will probally make you a little hungry, but otherwise just play it, you won't be dissapointed!
