Extra! Extra! Amazing Paperboy gets criticized!   SuperCrash64
Many people consider"Paperboy" to be a true NES classic with difficult challenge, but great and addicting gameplay.  And there's others that completely hate the game and make it look like it's the end of the world*Hello Avgn*.
Paper-boy was made and released in 1984 by Atari Games.  The Game was so successful in the arcades,  it got multiple home ports,  some sequels to it, and according to Wikipedia this game was still referenced in some recent movies like Wreck it-Ralph.
Graphics: 7/10
Yes, the graphics on screen of Paperboy are pretty basic; but, it gets the job done. It's what you'd expect from a game about someone delivering papers; you have your houses, your traps, and you even have the annoying dog.  I think this game does a great job capturing the whole open world environment and it actually doesn't do too bad at simulating what a paperboy might encounter in real life.
This game also does a good job on agreeing with the plot.  This paperboy is so famous for his amazing skill and the game proves it as he has crowds of people cheering him onto finish the bonus course.
Sound: 6/10
The main course of Paperboy is the music in this version, it's nice and peaceful; it goes along with the setting of the town in this game.  From what I know at least, there's two songs that play: one song plays in the delivering part of the game, the other song plays through the bonus course. There's just one problem with the sound that doesn't quite keep it in line with the graphics; while the music is nice and peaceful, half of the time you won't be hearing it all that often due to hearing the crashing sound effect that happens when you encounter a trap.
Addictiveness: 8/10
This game is a port of an arcade game, so the objective is fairly simple: get the highest score possible while staying alive.
Your goal is to get as many papers to Sub and Non-subscribers(You break the non-subscribers windows lol) If you fail to deliver a paper to a subscriber or break their property,  you'll lose that subscriber. Sounds simple on paper(No pun intended) but it's difficult due to the traps. Most of the common traps you see coming at you are fairly easy to avoid, but it's the traps that give you no reaction that makes the game hard. For example:  There's an orange car parked in the game, but the problem is that it spawns in at completely random times and kills you because you had no time to react and move away from it.
For me the game gets me upset, but it gets me upset in a good way as I want to continue playing and get better at it.
Story: N/A
Like I mentioned earlier, this is a highscore game; so there's no storyline.
Depth: 8/10
First off,  I will state that your results may vary because this game exceeds at making you do the following: Paying attention, having good reaction time, and it does a good job at forcing you to multi task. The game pretty much won't end unless you die 4 times in a row if that happens, paperboy will call it a day and you'll get your highscore result.
Difficulty: 8/10
The main Difficult part as I've mentioned before is the sheer randomness of the traps,  I've barely been able to get to "Tuesday"(otherwise known as level 2 in the game) and it's still pretty tough to keep going once your deep past the first level.
Overall:7.8 out of 10.
I can highly recommend Paperboy, it's a very good challenging and fun game, and because it's a highscore game; it might keep you busy for a bit.

The Hard Torture   superluigi1
This my friends. Is the most difficult NES Game I've played. Maybe even harder than Ghost N' Goblins Ninja Gaiden and Castlevaina. So let's talk about it. I saw AVGN's Review on it. And I actually agree with him. It is kind of a bad game. The Graphics don't look too good on paperboy. And besides their were many ports of the game so except their to be better graphics for the other ports unless there all bad I don't know but back to the review. The sound is Okay. I do like the peaceful music. But then there's all this stuff going on that would not normally happen it really reminds me of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. But the glass window breaking sounds realistic. So that's my opinion on the sound. This game is not really addictive in fact I shut off the game because it was so freaking hard. And it's not the type of game for causal gamers. There is not that much of story but the interesting stuff is that the Boss hires the kid to go from house to house delivering newspaper and throws them like a boss when he does. But in real life the mail or paper is usually delivered by setting on door mat or putting inside the mail box. Anyway the subscribers have their house painted white. With the non-subscribers painted Red. Which makes sense for the game but would be a lot of work in real life. But the best part comes here, to make non-subscribers subscribers, you have to break their windows. Its like the boss is in to money and doesn't care about what the subscribers get. That's all I have to say about the story now for the Depth. It is a short game since it was ported from the arcade. But of course to make it seem hard. They make it nearly impossible. It really baffles me. Not much else to say so last but not least difficulty. It is after all the hardest game on NES if not THE hardest. I could go on for ages on how hard it is till I run out of ideas. But it was definitely the same type of hard as Ghost N' Goblins because both games you can't get hit too many times. So that's my review of Paperboy so bad it's classic. Before I end this I just want to say one more thing about my next game review. I am hoping I make a pattern nowadays. Where I review a bad game in my opinion. And a good game in my opinion. The next review will hopefully be a good game. Then I will review a bad one. See you later!

Paper routes. Otherwise known as hell   bluecat2012
Man I just LOVE this game. But many people think it's a little bonker's. Really! Evil old lady's drunk driver's and so SO much more madness. But now that I think of it... This game is pretty accurate. I'm 12 and a paper route is the best I can get when it comes to jobs. ( And there's NO way I'm babysitting. I'm not good with kids. :P) And I have had this route for 3 years now and I will admit that crazy things happen a lot on your route. The thing this game didn't right is.. Well. In real life you're not gonna be on that bike. Anyway! I should talk about this game! Yeah! I havn't even mentioned the name of the game yet! Well you probably guessed it (Really how would you NOT know by now?) ,it's paper boy on nes.
Game play: The game play is simple. You must memorize the houses that have subscribed to your newspaper and deliver to those houses while avoiding an immense amount of hazards. Don't worry. We are getting to that. Anyway, you must also memorize which houses aren't subscribed to you. At the end of a stage you get to go to a bonus stage. These bonus stages are really fun. You go though an obstacle course. Now if there's one thing I would do after I finish my paper route it's NOT GONNA BE GO THOUGH A RANDOM OBSTACLE COURSE. This obstacle course is very hard and takes a lot of skill. You need to know when to speed up and slow down. You even get to throw paper's  at targets for more points. It's lots of fun. :3
sound: sound is pretty good. Everything sounds how it supposed to (Sadly its not as good as the arcades sound but it's still pretty good.) Although I can't make out what he says when he gets hit by something. It's different every time, yes, I know but I can never and I repeat never figure out it says. ( feel free to tell me. :3)
graphics: The graphics are GLORIOUS! It's like I just walked into a room full of butterf- You know what? screw it. I don't need to explain how awesome the graphics are. Find out yourself you lazy bum. All I can say is that their awesome (man. Can I really even count this as a paragraph? No? How about now? Now? What about now? Cmon! I'm just gonna keep typing up until the point where this can count as a paragraph! Ugh. Finally.)
Addictiveness: I play this game all the time. It's so much fun. It's so addictive. There are games that are fun to play the first time but then aren't fun anymore after awhile. Well paperboy does not let that happen. It's wacky graphics amusing sound affects and easy to learn game play just wont allow that to happen! It keeps me coming back for more even when I get a game over.  Want everything I just said in a nutshell? It addictive.
Depth: I'm not even gonna try with this one. Wanna know my thought's about how much this game has to offer? Well, I'll make it quick: this game has many things to offer. It may not have a lot of stages but attempting to get the highest score sure keeps you busy. So paper boy is on the safe side when it comes to depth. There you happy?
In conclusion... Thanks for taking time out of your life and wasting it reading my stupid review. Tell me what game I should review next! Hope you enjo- (some random guy) WAIT! WHAT'S ZE FINAL SCOREZZZZ?????? (me) Ugh. 9. There. You happy? Now bye!

A fun game, harmed by it's difficulty.   Toad 004
The basic premise of Paperboy is you're a... well... Paperboy. This poor boy has been sentenced to the worst paper route in the world, as everything is trying to kill him. Dogs, RC cars, real cars, old ladies, guys pushing their legs in the air, Tornadoes, and the Grim Reaper want to make sure this kid never finishes his route. But don't worry, this kid is going in armed with... a bike. And some newspapers.
While avoiding all the obstacles, you need to actually deliver newspapers. Any house that isn't red is a customer, and you need to land a paper right on their doorstep, or for more points, right in the mailbox. Should you break a customer's window, or fail to deliver their paper at all, they will unsubscribe at the end of the level. The red houses belong to people that are NOT customers - you don't need to deliver a paper to them, but you also don't need to worry about breaking their windows. In fact, you earn points for it. Careful not to waste your ammo though, you only got so many newspapers - look out for a pile of newspapers you can use to refill your supply. These are the only power up in the game.
You start out on the first level - Monday - with half of the street as customers, and three lives. When you finish Monday, you will lose every customer whose window you broke or paper you failed to deliver. Should you deliver every paper correctly, you will actually GAIN a customer at the end of the day. Lose all your customers and you're fired. However, you are far more likely to lose your lives first, as hitting anything (or having something hit you) costs you a life straight away - lose all three and your paperboy will realize what a ridiculously hard job this is and quit.
There is a bonus round at the end of each level, where you can rack up quite a few points. Getting hit on the bonus area doesn't count as a life lost, but it will end your bonus round. Other than the extra lives you may obtain from gathering enough, the points have little meaning. Points were a gaming tradition from the arcade era that lasted into early home systems.
The controls are pretty smooth - the Paperboy moves left and right pretty easily, just watch out for the ramps in the sidewalk - the curb can't be crossed. You can also go faster or slower - faster makes it easier to outrun dangers behind you, but also harder to avoid those in front of you and it's tough aiming papers when you're zipping along like Sonic.
This game is actually very fun, and pretty addictive - it's just brought down by the difficulty. If you're an expert of Ghosts 'n' Goblins or Zelda II, than this might not seem so hard to you, but to everyone else, don't play this and expect to win. The ultimate goal is to finish an entire week and deliver the Sunday edition, but you deserve a medal if you even make it to Wednesday.

Great Game   Kruzer
Yet another great game for the NES that anyone can play! That's right, I said "anyone." The game is not just for kids, it's for adults too!
The game didn't really offer much back in the day, but you did get your money's worth. I think I was a little too young for the game when it first came out because I remember playing it and thinking "This game is hard!" But over the years I had gotten used to it and enjoyed playing every minute. Ok, it didn't really meet the specifications for a game that came out in the 90s, but you got to admit that it was a fun game to play! It's a real shame that NOBODY makes games like Paperboy, Tecmo Bowl, or Mario Bros anymore. What happened?
