Frostbite review for the Atari 2600
Frostbite was released in 1983 by Activision. During the video game crash of 1983. The game is wonderful, and like many Activision games.  The visuals and sound push the Atari to the limits.

STORY: You are an Eskimo trying to build an Igloo to live in for the winter. To do this you must jump from ice block to block while avoiding wild like, crabs, birds, clams, and even bears. Pretty simple story if you ask me.

GRAPHICS: The graphics are amazing. With an arctic theme the visuals are colorful, vibrant, and as bonus flicker free. The ice blocks do a variety of things and the wildlife look pretty real for an Atari 2600 game.

SOUND: I have praise the sound to. The realistic sounds of you jumping iceberg to iceberg. Plus the sounds of losing a life are pretty complex for an Atari game. However the game could have used a background song, because Pitfall 2 was made in the same year and it had a background song. So Frostbit could have had one too.

ADDICTIVENESS: One of the most addicting Atari games I ever played. Its exiting to get a high score and there is a ton of levels. The scores rise as you go level to level so it's satisfying to get as far as you can.

DEPTH: The games has a ton of levels. About 9 I think and there is 4 game variations to choose from. 1 is for regular in single player, 2 is for regular in 2 player, 3 is for advanced in single player, and 4 is advanced for 2 player. This game is one of the most packed Atari cartridges I've ever played.

DIFFICULTY: What's good about Atari games is that anybody skill level can play them. Mainly because you can switch game variation's for beginners or skilled players. This game is just like that. It starts out easy in the beginning but the game gets faster as you progress through it. If you want more of a challenge pick game variation 2 or 4 depending on how many people are playing.

OVERALL RATING 9.

Frostbite Game Description

You're a eskimo who wants to build an igloo that he can leave in during the cold season. To do this, you must jump from iceblock to iceblock, while avoiding wildlife such as birds and crabs. Coming with contact with any of these will cause them to push you off the block and into the deadly water. Once you have built your igloo, you must enter it to proceed to the next level. Remember, you must build it before the temperature drops to 0°. You have four lives.
