I was randomly searching Bing like I normally do and one of the things that popped up was about the Oakland Raiders moving to Las Vegas.
Throughout the semester in my Sports class, I remember my class having huge discussions about what was going on in the NFL out west. There were all the talks about the San Diego Chargers threatening to leave San Diego if the city didn't build them a brand new stadium, there were the talks about a new team in Las Vegas, and there were talks about just about everything else out in California.
it was confusing because the Chargers were debating between staying in San Diego, moving to Las Vegas, or moving to LA to play with the Rams, while the Raiders had all those same options as well.
However, for the most part, the general idea was that both teams would stay put for now, even though each team for years had a foot out the door, and this past week everything went to hell.
A couple days ago the Chargers finally said good bye to their fans to join the Rams in LA and early this morning, the Raiders decided to move to the new stadium in LV.
A couple months ago I brought this up and talked about stadium funding,

and to me it seems like a lame move on the Chargers part. I mean sure, the Chargers get to live in a brand new stadium where the owner can make a ton more money thanks to luxury sweets, but they gave up history. It's not like they were good or new, they were San Diegos team for almost a whole 6 decades!
Heck, having the team play in LA didn't work out before, since the team actually began in LA in the early 60's but only spent one year there before moving to San Diego. The only thing that can help the Chargers would be the market, which is MUCH larger than San Diego, but they lose all the fans they already had probably, and have to start fresh.
