The Nintendo Switch doesn't seem to have a thread here so I decided to make a thread for it.

Honestly breath of the wild is enough for me to want this, regardless of the price. I'm a sucker for zelda games and I'm a sucker for open world exploration games so this is like the best of both.

I doubt I'll be able to get it, but I'm gonna try.

I really hope I'll get the switch since i missed out on Wii (i played it only about 5 times) and I really wanna feel that Nintendo vibe without emulator you know what im sayin? I really wanna try out the Dragon Quest game and hope its not as grindy as dragon quest ix (im sick and tired of grinding lol). March is a little bit long, i can't wait for the release!

Well i hope we get gamecube games at launch of the system.

I actually think the Switch has a pretty good chance of succeeding, as long as they don't screw up from here. It's a brilliant concept that I'm sure many people have been waiting for/wanting since like the beginning of the release of the Game Boy. I'm sure there were people that were like, "What if there was a handheld that was also a console?" Welcome to the future, so hyped for this. Let's just hope I can get a job and enough money to buy it one day.

I doubt I'll be getting it due to the expensive price tag since I'd most likely only be interested in a few games. However it does looks interesting, definitely a step in the right direction after the Wii U since it seems like it's going to have much better 3rd party support. The Playstation 4 has most of the exclusives I want though, I've never been a big Zelda fan really mostly prefering the 2d games. What does peak my interest is that they're developing a Pokemon game for it since that would be the first for a home console since XD: Gale of Darkness. Then again it might just be something similar to Battle Revolution or Pokepark... I hope not.

I'm really tempted to get the Switch. After all, the only reason I moved away while the Wii was still in production was for the controls. If we're back to joysticks and buttons, without the need to plug in a controller from an older console, then it's worth looking into for me.

I'm also interested in how you'll be able to play it as a handheld or with the mini joysticks on the sides while detached from the screen. Depending on how they handle this I might lose interest or I could be searching the game roster to see if I must make some space in my room.

I'm also one of those who would be very touched if a new F-Zero game is made. Now that we're back to traditional controls it's even more possible than before, but only time will say.

Zlinqx : I don't see a new game similar to the core ones for the 3DS being developed, specially now that the Switch can be a handheld, so it will be a different concept. Either that or it will be like Colosseum, an adventure just like the core games but with a unique gimmick.

I'm actually expecting a sequel to Battle Revolution. Stadium 1 and 2 premiered on the 64, Battle Revolution skipped Gamecube to appear on the Wii, so now that we've skipped the Wii U a sequel is due. But well, it's understandable that people like us who play Pokemon Showdown aren't quite hyped for a "console-version" of it

Really hyped for the Switch stream. I hope they give us more info on the games, specifically Mario and Pokemon. I'll be making an article on all the details so if you aren't able to watch the stream or just want to read the info look forward to that once the stream ends.

I didn't watch the stream myself, but from what several people who were extremely hyped for the console are telling me, I think Nintendo's in for a surprise... Everything from the price of the controllers and accessories to paid online is a deal breaker for me. I really, really wanted this to be a turning point for modern Nintendo home console gaming, but as far as I'm concerned, they've outright lied about the price.

I plan on getting it eventually just for No More Heroes 3 whenever it comes out.
