Terribly hot and humid. The sun heats up the ambient very quickly and the high humidity means you're always sweating no matter what.

Even now, being nearly 1 AM, it's very humid and uncomfortable. Yesterday I already had problems falling asleep. The lack of air circulating through my home despite having all windows open doesn't help in the slightest, and some house chores can be an absolute pain in these conditions.

While this should be the usual summer, it's started all of a sudden. We had mild temperatures up until Tuesday and nothing seemed to point towards this unexpected rise. Hopefully we'll get some break between now and the end of August or it's going to be tremendously scorching and a real test for my mind and body.

It's still hot out, and rain is expected tomorrow I hope it doesn't because I'm going to a CFL football game tomorrow for the first time in what twelve years? this is the first time I'm seeing a game at this stadium, even so I hope it won't be that hot

The morning started with several rain showers. They varied in intensity and duration, but up until 12 PM we didn't get the traditional clear blue skies of the past days.

Despite the rain the temperature didn't fall, so it was the same heat as every day but with much more humidity. The air, however, was cold and even the slightest breeze was truly felt. It does seem like the atmosphere is a bit more relaxed than usual, we'll see if tomorrow things heat up again.

I was storming in the morning at around 9:00 AM, and really loud thunder, (I think a tree exploded or something) But right now nothing, I haven't heard anything, but I do think it is going to storm tomorrow.

It's warm and mild enough that nobody will die from exposure this summer but somehow cold enough to always make my fingers frigid.

Fially, after being dry we are finally getting ran and thunderstorms. The past three days I have had close to 1 inch of rain. Every day this week in my area I have forecasted decent rain chances. Hopefully my area gets a lot more rain to put a dent in the ongoing severe drought.

Pretty calm right now, but in a few hours, it might storm, it's pretty hot, it's 85F, and once it starts storming, it'll be going for a few days (The weather people might lie, what if it doesn't storm?)

I will edit this and say if it stormed or not.

Right now, it's cloudy and raining where I am at the moment. The rain started in the middle of the night, stopped for most of the day and then started up again in the last hour or so.

The last few days are getting hotter and hotter. We're starting to see the first 40s of the summer (105ish F, more or less) and we're not even started August, so this year can be extremely torrid.

We've also gone a few days with clear blue skies and almost no clouds in sight. This afternoon, however, we do have some clouds and I wouldn't be surprised if a few drops fell down. But the extra humidity makes it even worse to cope with the heat.

When the sun hides and night hits, which happens quite late, temperature drops heavily. We can perfectly be around 20-22 degrees (70ish F, less or more), so the difference is very heavy and it also takes its toll. Going outside during the night or leaving the windows too open can lead to a massive wave of colds, and while I'm staying safe for now I know of people who are constantly catching and curing it.

Right now I'm getting severe weather. Just had a severe thunderstorm that did some straight line wind damage in the county. However, those that did not get me. Still I got heavy rain, 45 mph winds, (the 60 mph winds just missed me), lots of lightning and hail. The day is not over yet got another wave coming. I'm under a storm watch till tonight.

As a meteorologist I have been busy with the storms and trying to be on this site in between. Looks like its going to be a long evening for this tornado little humor there.

August has been extremely scorching so far, but since Tuesday there's been a slight change. We had heavy thunder during the night, it rained quite a bit on Wednesday to lower a bit temperatures and today we've had a feeling of hot autumn all around xD

The day has been cloudy but no signs of rain, and the wind is apparently quite cold too. Overall, the temperature is considerably lower than in days prior, but still hot as summer should be.

Looks like this could be the trend for the next few days, so we'll have some affordable weather for a while. A very welcome pause to all the scorching heat we've been having.

For me, the weather is finally starting to cool down with most days this week forecasted to be in the low to mid 70s, which is perfect.

On the plus side, scorching inferno temperatures are finally in the rearview mirror and very soon I won't have to worry about yardwork and mowing the lawn, but that unfortuantely comes at the cost of the tree leaves and greenery (which is the only thing I enjoy about the summer time, everything else is miserable) since it won't be long before everything shrivels up and dies.

We've gone for several days where temperatures have dropped significantly. We went from scorching heat to long sleeves and thin jackets in a matter of days, and many people have felt the effect on their health (obviously, for the worst).

I'm personally happy we're done with the extreme heat, but such a big change has also affected me. And the fact we're chaining rainy days every now and then doesn't help at all. So, basically, what you get on one side is taken from another.

We'll see how does September continue, but if things stabilize like this it could be very good. Just enough heat during the day and in the open sun, but chilly wind and cool nights so temperatures stay mild.

Its been cool and rainy for the past few days. I'm enjoying the cooler weather though. makes waiting at the bus stop much less unbearable. pretty much had to endure hot and humid weather with almost no shade. Hopefully this coming winter doesn't bring lots of bad snowstorms.

Last week has been pretty intense with rain. While my region wasn't affected, there have been devastating episodes elsewhere and many other regions are still in maximum alert throughout the coming days.

All of this has also come with cold temperatures proper of the time of the year. It's still not what we could expect, but nevertheless looks like it's time to think of changing into long sleeves. Coats can still wait a while, jackets are doing their job for now.

I hope we can get some calm during this coming week, it'll be much needed after everything that has happened. And hopefully we stop getting isolated episodes of rain, it really screws everything up when a clear sky turns into rain in less than 10 minutes just to go back to where it was in half an hour.

The weather has been wild in New York the past week and a half. It's been alternating between hot, cold, or raining basically every day and it's been a nightmare to keep up with. I don't want to have to wear a sweater, windbreaker, and jacket one day and then have to switch to just a T-shirt the next day.
