Coming early 2017, Friday the 13th: The Game releases on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game will feature both online multiplayer, single player campaign, and offline bots. Jason will have 6 different skins, and you'll be able to play as both Jason and the counselors (including Tommy Jarvis).

Being a fan of Friday The 13th, i'm very excited for this game.

Yeah! I'm not exactly a fan of the MOVIES, but i'm a fan of Jason Voorhees, I really like the concept of playing as him in a game, and I think the game has alot of potential to be really good.

Actually Friday the 13th on the NES is not a bad game, it's not amazing, but it's far from awful, definitely playable, and can be beaten. The only reason people talk bad about the game now is because "AVGN said it". Well AVGN is a character. With that being said, this game looks awesome. I am not going to get my hopes up and be hyped, but I like what I am seeing. I will definitely be picking it up on PC.

Heavy Metal,I have played it. It is terrible. The controls suck,the objectives are not clear,you are not given any idea what to do,everything is backwards in this game. The NES version is garbage. If you ever see the LJN icon on the cartridge,drop the cart,back away slowly and pretend it never happened.

HeavyMetalGamer : I liked it. The only thing I didn't like was the (if I recall correctly) werewolves in the side scrolling areas. Maybe they were just wolves, or maybe I'm thinking of something else, but unless I got it mixed up, I have no idea what that had to do with Friday the 13th. Felt a bit lazy honestly. The main area was intense though. The only 8-bit game that could come close to putting me on edge with suspense.


I've seen this game too. It looks like a promising premise, but I don't know if it'll be beefed up with a ton of stuff I'd rather not see in it or not. Regardless there is a great game idea buried in there at the very least, and if this fails I hope someone picks that idea up and uses it right. Now that I see it supports single player and offline bots I'll be watching it.

The only thing that hyped me from this news is the fact that 'modern looking Jason Voorhees' is going to be a thing. I was hoping that Dead By Daylight will add Jason to the playable killer but, Friday the 13th : The Game will get the job done.

With that being said, not every game LJN has released is that bad, some are fun, some are alright, and there are some bad games, but Jaws, Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare On Elm Street I personally enjoyed. I think the only half decent game they did was T & C Surf for NES. I do not know if they had anything to do with programming,but most of the games bearing their logo you should walk away from. Even if they are the publisher,they still bear the responsibility of what they have done.

Gotcha was not too bad,just mind numbingly repetitive. But I think the weak point was the Zapper. And you had to use both the controller and the gun,which is not convenient.

Its like Dead By Daylight, but the game got more to do, like not just repairing generator, its got more to it (even though its just finding car battery, car key, and mobile phone) the game is fun, and its not even all the features that has been released (i heard that the boat in the dock is repairable in the future updates)
