So, since late last night, I've been trying to upload a couple videos to the site's Youtube channel. For the first 6 hours, nothing I was doing was working, such as changing tons of firewall and anti-virus software settings. Then I let it idle while it still said "Sending request to upload.gdata.youtube .com" in the notification along the bottom of the browser.

After letting it sit like that for a while, it told me the video was successfully uploaded, but it really wasn't. Checking the videos, Youtube's player says "Your browser does not support any of the playable formats available," even though I've used the same format I always do, as well as my browser playing other Youtube videos perfectly fine.

I'm just curious if anyone else is having this same issue, or if it's exclusive to me (and if there's a way to fix this)? Here's an example of one of the videos I'm talking about-
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/game.php?id=7728&page=user-videos&video=503LTSNmkuE#user-videos

Also, I'm using Firefox as a browser, and it will also give me the same error with Internet Explorer. Chrome is no longer an option, since it doesn't support my OS. Oh, and if I upload them directly to Youtube, everything works perfectly fine as well. It seems like doing so through Vizzed is the only time I have this problem.

Mynamescox44 :  That's strange. I was able to play the video you linked just fine. Are you concerned because it looks like it's kind of empty (no screenshots) and shows up with 00:00:00?

And good job with the game. =P

Yuna1000 :
It's more so because this is the screen I'm getting lol. And it only does this for the 2 videos I uploaded through Vizzed tonight.

Image upload: 992x900 totaling 156 KB's.

I don't get it...
The videos play fine now. I literally changed NOTHING, and just left my computer on for a few hours while I went to a doctors appointment. Please leave this open though, just in case I have the same problem again (since it seems to come and go at random, I guess?).

If everything works out, I'll send a PM to the Local Mod box to close this.
Thanks in advance, and for any future feedback or insight someone may provide.

Mynamescox44 : Youtube takes some time to process videos before they are published.
As for the lack of a screenshot and 00:00 time, I would say to wait and check again tomorrow after you are credited the CP and Viz and see if its still a problem.

Vanelan :
Right, I understand that part, but this error was completely different than the one it gives me when a video hasn't finished processing. I had actually checked the videos not too long before that happened and it had the : / face with the message "Youtube is still processing this video" (which is how it's always been for me in the past). I also took that screenshot After Yuna did hers, so it couldn't have been processing downtime.

*My biggest concern at this point is uploading. It used to tell me the Upload % in the browser notification tray just above the taskbar, but now it just idles with the message "Sending request to uploads.gdata.youtube .com" and I have no way of knowing if it's actually working or not (it took like 8 tries to get those two previously mentioned to work).*

Just in the past day or so, I'm getting 30+ second render times specifically in the Upload Info and Upload pages, and sometimes the Upload page won't even display correctly (though now that I check, this problem has also seemed to magically correct itself, at least for the time being...)

I'm not an idiot, I swear lol. I'm just completely baffled as to why this is happening, and how it suddenly corrected itself without me doing anything at all.

Mynamescox44 : One of the main reasons I started uploading videos with Chrome after a while was because Firefox never displayed the Upload % in the browser (at last check anyways), and it was nice to know if the video uploads were actually making any progress or were just stuck at 0% for some unknown reason. Since Chrome is not an option for you anymore though... Have you tried to see if any other browsers also display the Upload %?

Yuna1000 :
I've also tried Internet Explorer, but it does the same thing as Firefox. I've heard terrible things about Opera in general, so I'm a little hesitant to try it. The only other browser I know of is Safari, and to be honest I have no idea if that's even compatible with Windows lol.

Mynamescox44 : Opera is an OK browser, but is a bit difficult to get the plugin working properly with.

What OS are you using that Chrome isn't supported? Chrome is supported in everything except like... DEC.

Vanelan :
Well, I may try Opera simply for the uploading itself. Not having any sort of % or confirmation that it's working is killing me.

I had to go back to Vista. They recently updated Chrome, and anything before 7 can't even download Chrome from their site.

Meant to reply a little sooner, but everything you suggested worked great. oldversion.com is awesome, and even helped with a couple different programs I wanted / needed to downgrade.

As for the video playback issues, it was a problem with Flash, and I got that solved as well.

Thank you for all the support!
