All right, so I just finished my second Legend of Zelda game, Which, by the way was completely awesome! Did anyone else feel like a boss when you get the Double Clawshot? Because that was just amazing! The game features nearly every experience that one could think of in video games, volcanoes, ice mountain with a big mansion, even a western themed shootout with bow and arrow. I absolutely loved the game, and topples Metroid Prime for the most complex game experience ever! But, after fighting four battles against ganondorf, and calling on the power of light incarnate to come to your aid, the ending was really a letdown. Honestly, as much resentment as Midna seemed to have for being locked away in another dimension, her shattering the Twilight Mirror was something that I definitely did not expect. And the whole feeling of it just felt so...depressing. I really felt like the game built me up, then sent me tumbling down.

I honestly liked the ending. I though it was a great way to end the game.

Let me explain. Link and Midna have bonded for this entire adventure, but now that Link has completed his quest and dealt with the Shadow Beasts, Midna really has no reason to remain in Hyrule. She should be thriving in a restored Twilight Realm, it is her home after all, so it makes sense that she went back and literally cut off all ties with Hyrule. Besides, why risk another possible insurgency coming from the Realm that could just be used by Ganondorf again?

So yeah, I think breaking the mirror was the smart thing to do plot wise. I also felt pretty depressed though for me at least I think that was simply the power of the scene.

The ending wasn't too bad, but it was definitely weird. Maybe not MM weird, but weird lol. But I did enjoy the ending myself and I'm sure if I played the game again I would get completely destroyed by nostalgia. Any ways I kind of understand where you are coming from though. What was the first LoZ game you have ever played?

Beastmode64 : My first Legend of Zelda game that I beat was Wind waker (Gamecube).  And I completely loved it. I actually originally bought The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, but never played it, and ended up returning it. I also began playing Twilight Princess, but lost interest at Kakariko village, also returned. However, after beating Wind Waker, I wanted more of the franchise, and decided to get those two games back. I am now finally playing skyward sword, which is funny, because I actually first bought the game that occurs first in the zelda timeline. (I know, I know...Why could'nt just give a simple answer? It's just because my experience with this franchise isn't all that simple.)
