Minuano : Yeah I heard that's the best way to go around things. And it helps too since I do them. But I tend to type non stop and forget to do then. Its only when I stop typing I would remember to do them. Having cramp fingers isn't the nicest thing so I tend to rest them when I can and then carry on with work or whatever I am doing.

Eniitan : Yeah, resting your fingers is important. When I'm typing a lot during the day I usually take little breaks here and there so I'm more motivated to keep going and less likely to experience more fatigue or pain. I've been doing that for the past couple days and I'm still going strong. My fingers are less tired than they were yesterday

Pacman+Mariofan : Yeah...you know? I started experiencing that and I was like nope no way! Your going to force yourself through this! And I had to at the time I had not reached the posts I had planned for posting. So I kept on pushing for more words out it worked and then I managed to reach what I needed to for that day. Good thing I did that, even though I felt like I cracked my fingers after that, but I felt it was so so worth it at the end. If I have not reach what I wanted too. I sometimes tend to push myself until I do then take the short breaks that I need. @.@

It depends on the type of post for me..

If I have a 600 word review on something or a really long post I do tend to slow down my typing a bit.  Sure you can do it for TDV purposes, but it's not worth killing your fingers.


Generally when I stop and try to proof-read my post that gives my fingers a long enough break so I can get back to typing again, or I'll stop when I don't feel like posting.

I don't know if my fingers ever really start to hurt, so much as they just get really tired. I type like a hill-billy though, and only use 2 - 3 fingers on each hand at any given time, so it's not like I type the right way to do it either lol.

I know that not only do I start to slow down a tad bit when I've been typing a lot for a long time, but I also start to make mistakes a whole more often as well. Like right now, since I've been typing quite a bit today, I've probably made about 7 or 8 mistakes already trying to type this out, where as if I was fresh, it would've maybe been about 2 to 4. I messed up twice in between typing the number 7 and the number 4 in the last sentence on top of that lol XD

I actually don't have any problem with my fingers hurting after I type a lot, but I do get a backache from holding that particular posture for so long. Also in more extreme cases my arms start hurting in that space between the bones that run up both sides of my forearms. That doesn't usually happen from typing, but it sometimes does. Most often that happens when I play games that use the keyboard, especially Alex Gordon which is a shame because that game is amazing, even if it is a PC game.

I actually can type a very long time without my fingers hurting. It's very rare that my fingers actually hurt from typing, since for me it's not really exerting my fingers. However, when I write with a pencil, or have to color something with a crayon or a color pencil, my fingers hurt after 10 or 15 minutes.

I type a ton on a daily basis, so for the last few years I have hold up strength in my fingers and have gotten to the point that it really doesn't hurt that much when I've been typing for hours.

With everything I have to write for school and such, I've gotten used to just typing and typing forever, and it's good that I'm used to it.

But when I'm really stressed and I try typing I get craps in my fingers and that hurts after only a few minutes.

I remember back when I used to make game reviews and stories, my fingers only start to hurt after I make the 1st 1000 words.
