What hobbies do you typically have during the summer? Which one is the most fun for you to do?

Over the summer I shoot hoops almost every day that the weather is nice, I have friends over at my house to spend the night, and I play video games. The most fun one for me to do is hard to decide but I think having friends over is the most fun!

Its probably play games....I don't really do much hobbies for summer. I'm hoping with this new one I can get some ideas and make the most of them hopefully that is...anyways when it is time I'll be able to list like the interesting ones and not the same boring ones. It would be nice for once in years I can go out and find new hobbies to do. But as I said before I'll have to go out and find those new hobbies to make.

Eniitan : I also hope that you'll be able to go out and find new hobbies to do, it's a good idea People shouldn't have too many hobbies because then their spare time will feel pretty busy, but I think finding new ones once in a while is important.

PacmanandMariofan : I'm usually in the house a lot and I was hoping at leas this time I can find something more, better productive to do during my summer holiday. If I do get into something new I'll let you know. Because it get really boring when you do the same thing over and over and over again. And when that happens you just give in and get used to the route for that every year. Which I find pretty sad...I just hope I can do something like something better and out of the ordinary something I can like keep my memories for. Something I know I did well for during that holiday. I hope you are understanding where I am getting at with this. '-'

play games lol if im not playing games or working out im tending to the big ol garden or mowing yards 

During the summer, I try to get outside as much as possible. I like going on long bike rides, fishing, gardening and camping. When it's cooler (since I don't have air conditioning), I'll stay up later playing video games and drawing.  

There's just about two things that I do over the summer (Aside for online stuff, which is at home and all year round lol)

First of all, I work, in fact this summer should be the 5th year in a row that I am getting a summer job, I guess that wouldn't really be considered a hobby, but it does take up most of my time during the day over the summer.

The second thing is go to baseball games. I go to a lot of games in the Spring when the summer starts and a bunch during the fall when the season is winding down, but the summer is just as fun of a time to go and watch a baseball game.

Eniitan : I'm looking forward to hearing about what new hobbies you find Yeah, it's boring and tedious to do the same thing over and over again. It's hard to create good memories that way which is why I've been trying to get more hobbies too. I understand where you're getting at

Fishergirl7 : I like being outside a lot during the summer too! It feels so much more productive than being inside all day.

PacmanandMariofan : Me too can't wait! Its going to a bucket full, loads of fun! I have to make it happen and I will! XD

Go swimming, putting ice all around me, standing in front of the fan, and going out to the movies.

Its really hard to think of a lot more, my Summers are pretty uneventful, and my new pool is a tiny outdoor pool. 

pennylessz : Going swimming is something I enjoy too but I don't do it often so I wouldn't consider it a hobby yet. I don't even have a pool, I have a hot tub so I go to the YMCA or to my neighbor's pool to swim.

Another good one you mentioned is going to the movies. Again, I wouldn't consider it a hobby since I don't do it much, but it's so much fun. My summers are usually somewhat uneventful but this year I've been pretty busy for the most part.

I would say more than anything my now would be spending time outside with the family, which is mostly spent swimming in our pool. Since the weathers nice fairly often, we spend a good deal of time out there. Also, spending time with my niece and nephew is fun, seeing as how they're still young enough to really be happy-go-lucky (at least when they're not throwing a tantrum lol). Other than that, I don't have many hobbies that differ from what time of year it is, though I have been able to run quite a bit more since the weather is nice at night, but still not too hot.

When I was around the OP's age, I would do all sorts of stuff in the summer. Me and my friends would hang out pretty much every day doing whatever we thought would be fun in the moment. Shooting off fireworks was always a blast (heh, get it?). We would play sports all the time, including basketball, football, baseball, or anything else we had the equipment for. Another thing we greatly enjoyed doing was setting up a field full of objects like old patio furniture, and having an "Air soft War" with air soft guns lol. One of my good friends growing up actually got shot in the eye once, and had to have surgery to keep from losing his vision in it XD We told him to wear the safety glasses, but he was all like "What's the worst that could happen?" Sadly he found out, though at least he's ok lol. We would spend the night at each others places all the time. I swear the best / funniest conversations I've ever had were laying down for sleep, and us just goofing off saying the most off the wall things to each other. We got yelled at quite a bit for laughing WAY too loud in the middle of the night, though the noise wasn't intentional, it was just too funny not to. Another hobby of ours was to take 2 XBox's with 2 TVs and hook them up back to back so we could have 4 on 4 Halo matches with no screen-looking. 

Oh how I could reminisce for days about the best years of my life. Sadly life went downhill after those times, but hey, that's a story for another time now isn't it.

Hmm, well this summer hasn't been very eventful. The past few summers I spent getting a bunch of community service hours since they're required for graduation, but I got a bunch extra too since it looks good on college applications. But this summer is basically mine since I can't get a job to save my life lol. I've been hanging out with friends and totally not watching my diet. I guess this is my last completely free time to myself until I start having actual responsibilities next year. I'm not scared of them, though. I think responsibilities be good for me and I'd honestly like them right now since this summer is so boring lol.

Mynamescox44 : Oh, you swim in a pool with your family too! I do that during the summer but not often enough that I would call it a hobby. I have only done it twice this whole summer.

Nice firework pun, it was a blast reading it It sounds like you had really eventful and fun summers. I'm sorry to hear your friend got shot in the eye with an air-soft gun, but the story is pretty funny XD That is why everyone should wear safety glasses when using those.

I've had fun conversations in the middle of the night too, and one time I fell asleep while my friend was still talking to me! XD It made for an interesting conversation the next morning. He asked me if I realized that I fell asleep while he was talking and my response was "Wait, I did?" I had absolutely no idea.

Sorry to hear your life has been downhill since then, I hope it can improve and you should try your best to make that happen

Minuano : Wow, it's cool that you were able to get so many community service hours in over the past few summers. I've heard that getting a job can be very difficult so I can understand that you aren't able to get one. :/ Watching my diet when being around my friends is extremely hard especially since they don't watch theirs either XD I agree that responsibilities would be good for you, they're important and they prepare you for what life has for you in the future.

During the summer, I still do the same hobbies I do during the school year. I watch anime or videos (dance videos, covers, or lets play vids). I try to learn a new dance (which results in me screwing up but laughing too much at my screw ups to really care). I read whatever I feel like reading, which is usually fanfics or manga.

I would also draw and play games, but I haven't done either this summer break actually. I never got in the mood for either one. 

AriaAngelDream : Learning a new dance sounds fun even if you aren't good at it, I'd probably be laughing hard while messing up too XD

I used to draw many things and even make comics almost every day and I've made over 30 comic books (big notebooks with comics in them drawn in pen)! Sadly and suddenly, I lost interest years ago. I regained interest a couple months ago but after a few days I lost interest in it again.

During summer I just sleep, go on the internet, do chores and buy groceries, eat, and sleep again. 

I only really go out a couple times a day at most since it's so hot over here during summer for whatever reason. Really burns up my energy quickly lol.

I do like to watch some anime or read manga in my free time.

Furret : I'm on the internet during the summer a lot because my real life friends are often busy. I have to do chores every week during the summer and most weeks during the school year.

I go outside a few days a week during the summer because it gets pretty hot over here every summer. But I want a tan and I enjoy being outdoors so I go outside and deal with the heat

Having been homeschooled, I haven't been one to socialize much and I don't really have any concept of "summer vacation". There have been several things I've tried to pick up, but I never stuck with them for very long. You know how people take a straw and blow little paper wads? Well, for a while, I spent my time making ridiculously large, full size rifle replicas that I could use to shoot wads at high velocity with a fair amount of accuracy. I even went as far as to make sights and homemade pellets out of rolled, folded and pressed aluminum foil lol. After that, got old, I found a set of a dozen kunai at a yard sale and tried to train myself to throw them. I got OK at accuracy and got to where most would stick, but I could never build up and range because the knives were too small. I fell out of practice because I was afraid I was gonna kill the tree and maple is far too hard of a wood to use without tearing up the tips. Since then, I haven't really had one. Just messing around on Vizzed, pretty much...

m0ssb3rg935 : Yeah, with homeschooling you're home a lot anyway so summer vacation doesn't feel like freedom unless you go on many trips/vacations. I get really annoyed every time people blow tiny pieces of paper around with a straw, they usually hit me on "accident" (I think it isn't an accident ).

Your version of that sounds much more fun!
