I'm sure you're all thinking "Couldn't I just use my own ad block and disable ads on Vizzed with that?" Well you could but soon I'll be making it so that the games in the Retro Game Room stop working if you have an ad block blocking ads on Vizzed.

Ads pay for the site and an increasing number of users are using ad block which financially destroy sites like Vizzed. For those who really need to disable the ads on Vizzed, this option allows for them to disable ads using Viz that they earned from contributing to the site.
I've added 4 new "Ad Block" items to the Vizzed store:

Some sites like IGN let you pay a membership fee to have ads removed but this is basically like paying with contribution to have ads removed. I think it's more than fair.

Yup, 100k seems like a reasonable price to pay for the premium ad block. I think that this along with everything else the vizzed market has to offer will get more users to want to contribute to the site so that they can afford these kind of items like those of us who have already contributed a significant amount of time to the site.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
