So I don't know about anyone else, but every time I try to get that Farfetch'd for the apprentice in Ilex forest, the dang thing just runs away, and it's either in a corner, or between three trees, can anybody help me? Would be greatly appreciated.

Farfetch'd goes in the opposite direction of the way you talk to it from.  Get the Farfetch'd to the left corner of the screen then come at it from the right, instead of from the top or bottom.  That will send it to the left.  Talk to it again, and that will end it.  I hope this helps!
