Although I do agree that there is a lot of trolls on Reddit I don't really see it as bad as on Youtube or other sites.

I would also like to point out that there is also a lot of good content on Reddit if you look around.

I'm not a big fan of Reddit, however from the subreddits I frequently visit (like 2 or so ) it's not as bad as people say it is.
There are a ton of sites out there that are way worse when it comes to handling their userbase.

Like has been said, I don't think Reddit is to blame for potential toxic members, that's just the consequence of any sort of networking/messaging site that size. I'd actually say that if you compare reddit to a lot of other big sites (youtube/9gag/facebook etc) excluding certain sub reddits people are usually more reasonable on there. Though sub reddits is the great thing about it since unlike sites like the ones I mentioned sticking to the ones you're actually interested in is a way to avoid trolls since they usually lurk in the most popular ones (and if you like those, well I guess you'll just have to try and look past it )

The site wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't for everyone on there turning NG into Idiotpolis. A lot of the games, movies, and artworks are quite funny, I do got to say that, but that is what you get on NG, great and funny material, and doesn't have that family-friendly material, you got a bunch of idiots on there.

In all honesty, the quality content on reddit lurks in the more 'niche' subreddits. I've met many dedicated enthusiasts who are not only passionate, but often willing to impart their knowledge onto others. As an example, r/buildapc is one of the friendliest communities, where i've obtained a wealth of knowledge and tips from others. Contrarily, the main 'default' subreddits, as mentioned above, are populated with people who don't give a s***- spammers and trollers. Having said that, reddit is really just a representation of the internet in general- very likely, no matter where one might stumble, one will find these types of people. I guess that's just what defines the internet, and in a way, it's an inextricable component of the entity that we call the modern internet.
