Ok so I had an idea come to mind when my mum and I were discussing a few things. It happened like this *eni have you not seen what is in the fridge?* I was like *Yeah mum I thought it was a trap so I didn't touch it* she said *aww.... it was on the freezer last night* *I know I was like is that Chinese I see there? I better not take it.* she went to a place and her boss payed for a lot of Chinese for the works. Bless her soul she is a kind person I thought. So my mum had so many that even my uncle came in to take some to his house. Like when you were bring raised strictly do you remember the traps your parents set for you? Like buying anything sweet such as ice cream and leave it in the freezer. Buy biscuits and leave them out in the open on purpose? Traps like that my siblings and I avoided. It was either Chinese pizza or something of the sort. I asked my bro one time. Should we take it? He said no...she would want that and yell at us. Lets leave it where it is without touching it... we did just that and that's how we became the mature siblings as we are today. It builds character and that type of thing stays within you forever until you leave your parents home and have one of your own.

Eniitan :   My Step-dad went so far as to bug our phone line to pretty much see what my sister was up to.  He rigged up a light system so that when ever the phone was off the hook, a red light would shine in my mom and his bedroom.  That way he could see if someone was on the phone after hours that shouldn't be.  Mainly my sister again.  He was a real hard...butt on us when we were young.  I guess that's what you get when you have a master tech for a step dad, but we love him anyway.

My father, oh my god. We had this laptop and we would take in the bathroom with us when we went (my brother and I) and my mother thought we were doing inappropriate things with it. So my father installed a screen recording app on it while we were at school one day and turned it on and left it running while we were on it. We weren't doing anything inappropriate but they didn't finally come clean about what they did for three weeks. They monitored everything we did on the computer at all for three weeks without us even knowing. It was oay because in the end we understood their worries and they started to trust us more than they had before.

And I can see why your step-dad did that. You now understand it was to help you not to annoy you in any way. It seems you have a really good step-father who raised you very well.

scarlot : Wow. I have to say your post made me to laugh so much. Not at you but how your father planned this....it was a genius way of catching people doing things. But as you said you were not doing anything bad. I am sure he was still looking out for you reason why you got into trouble. I can understand that. I got into trouble when it wasn't even my fault at times and sucked it up :/

None at all really, my parents aren't like that.


They miss around with me, but they don't do in it the sense your talking about.

I don't remember my parents doing anything like that. If my mom didn't want us to eat something she wrote on the box that if we ate it we were dead.

My parents were always too busy to mess with us all that much. They were pretty straightforward with us when it came to stuff. We knew what to expect from them and what the rules were. No tricks or traps.

I can't really remember my mom doing anything of the sort. Aside from like a few months when I was 3 years old, I've always been a pretty rule obeying and quiet child when I was younger so she didn't really need to. If she really didn't want me doing something specifically to the point where it would worry her she would just tell me directly in stead. Since she kept busy working and doing other stuff (raising me on her own) I don't think she had the time or patience to think out and enact elaborate plans anyway.

Well, my parents didn't "trap" my siblings and I like that. They would trap us using their communication and negotiating skills. Whenever we ask to do something, they'd try to convince us not to make that decision. And you know what, they were right about most of them. However, I didn't mind them doing that, my oldest sister did though. I looked at it in a sense of a game, and found loopholes into their *clears throat* "system." Hence, why I'm the trouble-maker in my family.

I don't think my parents have set up any trap ever, except for one.

Put all pink stuff at the bottom. GG I fell in the trap. Even though I seriously don't care about the fact they know my favourite colour, I guess it still is a trap.

I think my whole childhood was a trap lol. Well she would leave delicious things on the refrigerator and expect no one to touch hers and it always got the best of me, when she was disciplining me and said something close to funny and I started laughing and had to stay still and stop laughing or else, ouch I never stopped laughing lol., and letting us play video games without so much as screaming and fighting among each other when one was repeating the same thing on WWE or Killer Instinct and it became extremely annoying because here you go trying to unlock combos and what no and the other person just keeps punching you and still you lose so, that was a huge set up how can you play video games with your siblings and not say a word so, the console would go off way before bed time.

My mother was heavily against pokemon. So much that she forbidden me from watching or playing it at all. I would still take her phone and look at it. She find out about it, though. Then again, looking back on all it now, I think she purposely setted me up from the very start. I felt pretty bad about going against her wishes like that.

I didn't think people would still be replying to the threads I once did. Anyways lets get this started shall we?

jlove92 : Oh wow...yeah that's kinda hard to avoid. And when being punished its hard not to laugh. I've been there....so I can understand what you mean by that lol. Mothers they are only doing their jobs as mums. Even though they can be wrong at times. They will still tell you off regardless. XD
