I totally understand where you're coming from with this.

Thankfully (at least for me) I've avoided nearly everything except the trailers so far. I don't know what the plot is about. I don't know how most of the characters relate to each other. I don't know who the villains really are. I don't know why anything is happening.

I find it hard to be disappointed by a movie I know next to nothing about. However, the hype is very real for this movie and that does worry me too. Still, I don't see any of the 1,2,3 trilogy in these movies so far. It feels so much more real than those movies did. Not making a movie almost 100% on green/blue screens will help a lot

i dont know how the movie might go i heard the main actor of the jedi was a black actor and no this was not intended to  be racist

I thought Jurrasic World was actually great :/

I believe this movie is going to suck. I think it'll be a little better than Attack of the Clones. I say this because I want to keep my expectations for the movie as low as possible.

J.J Abrams isn't the best director out there in my opinion. He's not bad just mediocre. I also hate how Disney made all of the expanded universe no longer canon. No Jason or Jana makes me very disappointed. They are building their own universe from scratch which makes me incredibly nervous

I could be totally wrong and this movie could blow my mind which I'm hoping for but from what I've seen it's not looking so good. I just don't wanna be Phantom Menace'd.

I think it will disappoint. Although SW fans will still line up at midnight to watch it. Disney will ruin it,just like it ruined its own properties and shows. SW prequels anyone? I mean,damn,leave it alone.

I don't think it will, from the trailers it looks like it will be a really solid movie. The only thing that can make it disappont would be the hype because even if its still better than all the others, too much hype can be a bad thing.

I watched a review by someone who has seen the film already and he said it far exceeded his expectations.

Obviously it isn't perfect but he said it was easily better than the new trilogy by leaps and just as good as the original trilogy.

He did point out a couple of small issues he had with the film but they were really minor in the grand scheme of things. His review has made me feel a lot more excited about seeing this movie and not worried about the hype at all.

I think that's the biggest wish most people have. It doesn't have to be amazing, just don't be terrible!  

I saw it already. I won't say anything about it other that I can breath easier now that I've seen it. No more big anticipation. 

I'll be seeing it soon, so I'll be able to say whether or not The Force Awakens disappoints, or if it's fantastic. My gut says it'll be so much better than the prequel trilogy, so I hope I'm right.
