Halo The Master Chief Collection, the collection every Halo fan has waited years for. Halo The Master Chief Collection was released in 2014 by 343 Industries. The game has Halo 1-4 with the brand new Halo 2 Anniversary and recently released Halo 3 ODST as downloadable content. To show how far graphics have gone over the years 343 allows us to switch graphics from new to original for Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2
Graphics:
Halo Combat Evolved/Anniversary: Halo Combat Evolved graphics were awesome for 2001, it showed what Xbox could do when it first launched and the Anniversary graphics uses the Halo Reach engine and Anniversary was released on Xbox 360 but Anniversary for the Xbox One looks beautiful in 1080p 60fps
Halo 2/Anniversary: Halo 2's original graphics were revolutionary for 2004; it pushed the limits of the Original Xbox and did so successfully and the graphics aged really well and can hold up to this day.
Anniversary graphics are...fantastic. Halo 2 Anniversary is the most beautiful game of this generation if not the best looking game of all time. The marines look realistic the environment looks realistic; everything has a bunch of detail and it seems 343 has been developing it for a long time. Anniversary includes CGI cutscenes which looks beautiful but id prefer if the cutscenes were done in the Anniversary engine
Halo 3: It looks the same as it did on Xbox 360 besides the enhanced lighting and a little bit more detail overall it seems they didn't tweak the game much but we can now play it in 1080p 60fps so, the game doesn't feel a bit slow like it did on Xbox 360
Halo 4: just like Halo 3 there wasn't really any tweaking from the Xbox 360 graphics but the game still looks beautiful
Sounds: Overall the sound is fantastic, each game uses its original sounds. Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo 3 soundtracks' were composed by Marty O'Donnell, a phenomenal composer. The remastered Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2 soundtracks are superb. Explosions, near realistic sounding gunfire and the screams of your alien foes as you lead them to slaughter with Marty O'Donnell's music playing in the background the games sound really makes you feel like you are in the story
Addictiveness: I'm surprised that die-hard Halo fans still leave the house after this game dropped. The game as a lot to offer including a addictive multiplayer
Story: In the future of the 2500's you follow Petty Officer John 177 (or the Master Chief), a augmented super soldier known as a Spartan who was kidnapped as a child to be put in the spartan program. The game begins after the Fall of Reach, the lone cruiser the Pillar of Autumn is evading the pursuing covenant. The Autumn gets boarded and Master Chief is ordered to get the AI Cortana, who will be the Chiefs companion throughout the four games off the ship. The chief crash lands on the ring Halo and sets out to uncover its secrets. From the Invasion of Earth, a discovery of another Halo ring, near annihilation to a mysterious Forerunner planet, Halo is a phenomenal story of twists and turns you will never forget. In Halo 2 for the first time ever you can play as the Arbiter for half the game. the Arbiter was a Covenant commander who was given the Arbiter title due to the Chiefs actions in the first Halo game. It adds the Covenants political and religious side in the war.
Depth: This collection includes four games with each individual campaign, multiplayer, forge and Spartan Ops
Multiplayer: For the first time ever we can play Halo Combat Evolved on Xbox live,
Each games individual engine is used and games are bundled into certain multiplayer playlists and there are limited time playlists with special game modes. There is even an offline multiplayer mode if I'm not mistaken for some good ol couch gaming with 3 of your friends
Spartan Ops: Follow Team Crimson, a team sent to the mysterious Forerunner planet Requiem to uncover the Forerunner secrets on the planet. Spartan ops is basically another campaign
Forge: (Halo 2 Anniversary/Halo 3/Halo 4 only) Forge allows you to edit maps to your hearts content. Make parkour courses, race tracks, your own little battlefield, etc. The sky is the limit for forge mode
Theater Mode: Watch clips from multiplayer matches to see that rad triple kill or the that neat no scope sniper shot.
Difficulty: Each game has four difficulty levels so the difficulty is ultimately up to the player
Easy: You are Immortal
Normal: Still Immortal
Heroic: Its getting a little hot in here
Legendary: I hope you took your blood pressure medication
Overall: The game is awesome its a must hand well worth the $60 trust me; the game will offer hours of fun.
