Hello and welcome to the Age of Empires II FAQ for help those who are going to star now first of all let's star rating the civilizations of the game -Byzantine civilization 8.3/10 okay now the Byzantine is a great for star, is sure this is the type of civilization for begginers in this game, they have all the technology make the number of strategies very huge, make them hard to predict their movement and type of fight, (can be ranged, direct or defensive the most used) chagens with every player Type of civilization: defensive good points -Buildings gain +10% HPs in Dark Age, +20% Feudal Age, +30% Castle Age, +40% Imperial Age -Camels, Skirmishers, Spearmen are 25% cheaper -Fire Ships attack 20% faster -Advance to Imperial Age costs 33% less -Town Watch technology free -Britons civilization 7.9/10 The Britons is an good civilization in long range combat, really good but is a little lack on defense, (especially weak against cavaliers) type of civilization: offensive good points -Town Centers cost -50% Wood from Castle Age -Foot archers have +1 range in Castle Age, +1 in Imperial Age -Shepherds work 25% faster -Celts civilization 9/10 this civilization is one of the best of the game, this civilization is used for his great speed, also this is an excellent civilizations for attack and run, also have the most powerful siege weapons in the game with the greatest HP and fastest fire type of civilization: offensive good points -Lumberjacks work 15% faster -Infantry move 15% faster -Siege weapons fire 20% faster -Sheep cannot be converted by enemies if within a unit's line of sight -Chinesse civilization 8.1/10 Chinesse civilization is a power full economic civilization, is the civilization who have better economic bonus, is amazing to get resource's, and good in that fact, in War fact is okay type of civilization: economic good points -Start game with three extra villagers, but with -200 food and -50 wood -Town Center supports ten population -Technologies are 10% cheaper in Feudal Age, 15% in Castle Age, 20% in Imperial Age -Demolition Ships have 50% more HP -Franks 9.3/10 Franks are amazing civilization.... but is a little hard to play, is more recomemded for players who already knows how to play and know how this civilization works; Are great with cavaliers, manual artillery (good for taking down defenses) and is the civilization who can get more food than any other type of civilizations: offensive; defensive good points -Farm upgrades are free -Castles are 25% cheaper -Knights have 20% more HP -Ghots 6.2/10 okay this is what I'm think, the worst civilization of the game, Ghots are only focus on infantery units, only in infantery, all other facts like technology and economic are really worse and slow than other civilizations, also if you have a civilization like Franks against this one well...... I'll wish you luck, also have some little bonus but still be a really bad civilization type of civilization: Aggressive good points -Farm upgrades are free -Castles are 25% cheaper -Knights have 20% more HP bad points -Defenses, technology and economic are slower -Japanses 8.8/10 the Japanse civilization is a regular civilization compared to other in the land.... but in the sea and in islands well... it turns in one of the best civilizations to fight on islands map they economic is more based on the sea (principal on the fishing) in land is a okay civilization ut in sea is very good one type of civilization: offensive good points -Fishing ships have +100% HP, +2 piercing armor and work 5% faster in Dark Age, 10% Feudal Age, 15% Castle Age, 20% Imperial Age -Mills, Lumber Camps, and Mining Camps are 50% cheaper -Infantry attack 10% faster in Feudal Age, 15% Castle Age, 25% Imperial Age -Mongols 7.8/10 this civilization is great, is a little hard to lear their technics, but are really good star with this civilization strongs reminds in their cavaliers, their cavaliers aren't really heavy (like paladins) but their camel's compensating for their lack of effective heavy cavalry type of civilization: offensive good points -Cavalry Archers and Mangudai fire 20% faster -Light Cavalry have 30% more HP -Hunters work 50% faster -Persians 8.5/10 the persians are great cavalier civilization, they have most of their bonus focused in cavaliers unit's and also his Castle unit (War Elephant) is like a huge demolisher cavalier, they have a little lack on their other units but are okay type of civilization: offensive good points -Start game with +50 Food and +50 Wood -Town Centers and Docks have +100% HP and work 10% faster in Feudal Age, 15% in Castle Age, 20% in Imperial Age bad points -No champions -Saracens 7.8/10 right we almost finish.... well the Saracens are unit's focus on Camel's and mounted archery they are really good at archery (not like the Britons) but still good, also are very good against cavaliers and heavy cavaliers type of civilization: offensive good points -Market trade cost is 5% of goods -Transport ships have +100% HP and +5 carry capacity -Galleys attack 20% faster -Cavalry archers have +3 attack bonus vs buildings -Teutons (Romans) 8.6/10 They are focus on 2 things, Defenses and economic, sure if we look to they castle unit Teutonic knight, are relative the slowest unit in the game, (to be just an small knight) but have the better meele stats of all the game is like to put them protecting the fortress doors or something like that the Romas are excellent for hold strong attacks type of civilization: defensive good points -Monks have +100% heal range -Towers garrison +100% more units -Murder Holes technology free -Farms are 33% cheaper -Town Centers have +5 line of sight -Turks 9.5/10 the Turks are the civilization is more focus in the mind power.... their strategy are harder to get, but they are focus on the devolements from the university, is a very smart civilization and very skilled in maths and in chemistry type of civilization: offensive good points -Gunpowder Units have +25% HP -Gunpowder technologies are 50% cheaper -Chemistry technology free -Gold miners work 15% faster -Light Cavalry and Hussar upgrade free -Vikings 7.6/10 the Vikings is the last civilization of the game, their are the most great sailors units, use them in coast or island maps are really good good points -Warships are 20% cheaper -Infantry have +10% HP in Feudal Age, 15% Castle Age, 20% Imperial Age -Wheelbarrow and Hand Cart technologies are free bad points -lees defense on tower and walls, with not much advances in those aspects -monks are weaker than other civilizations Note: I have some issues with the colors Note 2:
