Believe it or not, my favorite generation is Gen 4. I don't know what it is about Sinnoh, but I love it. I just don't know why so many bash it like it's the worst gen? I really enjoyed this gen, and I can't wait for remakes to come out.

LunarDarkness2 : the games were good. its probably because its has a lot of evolutions from older games and has a ton of legionaries but that is my guess. Personally i liked gen 4 the story was pretty good and the elite 4 was hard (Cynthia) with her hard Garchomp that always faints my pokemon.

Gen 3 is easily my favorite pokemon generation, however, Gen 1 comes in a close second. The thing with Gen 3 is that it had my favorite games, being Pokemon Emerald, Pokemon Colosseum, and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. I thought that the whole thing with Shadow Pokemon and snagging Pokemon from other trainers was amazing and definitely the most unique concept presented in a Pokemon game. What I loved most about Emerald was the fabulous post-game in the form of the Battle Frontier and re-battling the gym leaders. It also features some of the coolest looking Pokemon in the forms of Aggron, Salamence, and Metagross.

The reason why Gen 1 is a close second is because I am fascinated by the immense about of glitches present in Red and Blue. Catching Mew, MissingNo. along with any other Pokemon you are able to depending on the characters in your name is intriguing. Also, I have been a fan of Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 for a long time and I always have fun memories battling my friends on it and challenging them to mini games.

Gen 4 is my favorite so far in the series, because this is about when the storylines took precidence over  collecting the 8 gym badges.  I remember saying that if they came out with a crappy fourth generation I would never play Pokemon again, sure enough I bought pearl and played the hell out of it!  Still playing Pokemon.

My favorite generation has to be the third. Ruby Sapphire and Emerald are all great games, that improved on the battling system and also adding the most new to Pokémon with the new IV/ EV system, and also having the natures and abilities being added to keep battling fresh. And while Hoenn did have a ton of water, and honestly, I think that's a fair criticism, but it felt much more alive than the games before it for sure. Also, having the remakes of the original games with the Sevii Islands added in as well as all the other improvements made by the third generation.

I felt like gen 3 had the best starters, best gym leaders, and the battle frontier in emerald is better than the one in the 4th gen games. So for those reasons, I say gen 3 is the best.

My favorite generation of Pokemon is the only generation of Pokemon I have ever played with over a long period of time, and that generation is generation 2. It was still easy to follow as only two new types were incorporated...steel and dark type Pokemon. Plus, there were still only 250+ total Pokemon, not 700 or whatever the number is now. I remember I started playing in 8th grade when the 2nd generation just came out, and the Gold and Silver games were released.

I don't know why I lost interest in the newer generations, but I still play the GSC games and even Fire Red on occasion. Pokemon was a lot more fun to play when they kept it simple, in my opinion.

The first generation. I don't know why, but I can't get passed like the 3rd or 4th generation. It's too much to remember, and it's too out there. I mean, I understand the need to make money and expand, but really? The original 151 ( 152 if you include Mewtwo ) are the best.

My favorite generation is generation 3. I had a hard time picking generation 3 over 4, but in the end, I felt that Fire Red, Leaf Green, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald slightly edged Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver. I love Sinnoh and Hoenn equally, but I felt that Fire Red and Leaf Green were better than Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Even though there is Johto and Kanto in HGSS, I felt like I enjoyed FRLG a bit more than HGSS.

I like generations 1 and 2 as well, but now the only reason I would want to play those is for the glitches. In generation 5, I like Pokémon White(I never played Pokémon Black), but hated B2W2. I feel like Pokémon White was the last quality Pokémon game made.

Here is my ranking of the generations:   3,4,   1,2,              5,                                                6

The spaces in between the numbers show how much difference there is between generations.

My favorite Gen is Gen 4. The storyline for hgss and dppt(diamond, pearl, and platinum)and ( heart gold and soul silver) is so interesting . The reason I liked hgss was because you could get the Hoenn legendaries Kyogre and Groudon. Plus you could trade Kyogre/ Groudon to the other version and whoever got it could go to Prof oaks lab and get a jade orb to catch Rayquaza. Now on to dppt depending on your version you can get either Dialga( Diamond) or Palkia( Pearl) with giratina. But in Pokémon Platinum you can get all three of these legendaries

Well, I have first started playing Pokemon back in 2000 with playing Pokemon Red and I have played Gen I and Gen II, but I ended up skipping Gen III, IV, & V for personal reason, but I have manage to catch up with those 3 generations I skipped (Gen III on here and Gen IV, & Gen V buying used games at GameStop). I also experienced Gen VI when I returned to the series.

If I have to pick from all the series I experienced with, I have to go with Gen V, the reason why is that B/W & B2/W2 has one of the best storyline to date and I feel like the gameplay is also amazing as well, amazing games and an amazing generation.

Jesus Christ, that would be Gen IV (specifically Sinnoh), by a clear mile and a half. Nostalgic, maybe, Pokemon Diamond was my first ever video game. But the music, holy **** the MUSIC.  Whoever orchestrated the Gen IV games deserves way more praise than what they get.  I always hear that the Gym/Elite 4 theme is the worst Pokemon music ever. Wrong. Wrong. WRONG. That particular piece of music is not only one of the best Pokemon themes in existance, but also one of my favorite pieces of music ever. Oh, and the rest of the soundtrack is more or less on that caliber. The graphics are pretty awesome for the original DS, and the story is solid. The pokemon in this region marked the LAST REGION to have decent Pokemon designs, including the ever beloved Luxray, Staraptor, and Togekiss. A solid game, solid Gen, that's all I have to say about that. If you don't agree, I don't care. Gen IV is the best.

Generation 3, by a loooong shot.
First off, it has some of my favourite Pokemon, like Shuppet, Hariyama, Claydol, Sableye, and Mawile.
Second off, it has some of my favourite spinoffs, namely Pokemon XD and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. I almost enjoy these games more than most of the main series.
The idea of two main teams is also cool, and bringing them together in the third installation is a neat idea!
Lastly, too much water.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
