I. Main Story Mode Guide
Ia. Los Santos- The beginning
1. Big Smoke
The opening cut scene of the game begins telling you about everything that has happened since CJ lefts to go to the east coast. Friends, family, dead in the violence between the different gangs. The game will begin with you meeting Big Smoke in the Johnson house. You will be in a cemetery when a drive by run by the Ballas comes and attacks you and your friends.
A. Sweet and Kendl
You will gain control of your character, and will be told to go and get one of the bikes sitting nearby. Run over and get on. You will need to keep up with your brother, Sweet, the little blue dot on the map up in the left corner. Make sure to stay behind him the whole time, not to go too far ahead or behind as you may find yourself lost and unable to catch up, or be hit by the drive by. When you get to the next cut scene, under the highway, you will be told to split up. Now, you will be following another one of your homies, Ryder. Continue to follow Ryder closely until you get back to Grove Street. Go to the red marker in front of you and stop. Now go inside the house with the yellow marker out front and walk all the way to the other end of your house to the blue floppy disk, use this to save. You may return here at any time to save you game, unless you are currently on a mission. If you go up the stairs on your right (as you exit the save room) there will be a room with a yellow marker, and one without one. If you go into the room with the yellow marker, you can add cloths or remove them as you buy them. (See IIh) the other room will have a Camera in it that you can pick up. Go ahead downstairs and out the yellow marker near the front door. There you will get a phone call, where you will be instructed to go over to Ryder’s house, which will appear as an R on your map.
Simply Put:
Get on your bike, follow Sweet, and then follow Ryder.

2.  Ryder
A. Ryder
Ryder says the Pizza Stack over in Idle wood has been painting over a Grove Street tag, and he wants to speak with the owner. While driving over there, CJ asks about the barber shop, and decides to stop in for a cut. The cuts you can get (Along with Prices) are as follows:
i. Cesar: $50
ii. Cesar and moustache: $50
iii. Cesar and Goatee: $100
iv. Cesar and Beard: $80
v. Afro: $150
vi. Afro and moustache: $200
vii. Afro and Goatee: $300

Note: The more expensive your hair cut is, the higher your respect and sex appeal stats grow
You must pick one of these to get, then leave and go over to the pizza stack. Ryder will come in after you order some food and try to shoot the cashier, who will pull out a Shotgun and chase after you. Go outside and get into Ryder’s car, and drive away. Hint: If you run over the manager with your car thus killing him, he will drop his shotgun. Exit the car and pick it up. After you do so, drive back to Grove Street to complete the mission.
Simply Put:
Get into Ryder’s car, drive to the barber, get a haircut, go into pizza stack and get something to eat, leave, get into Ryder’s car, and drive back to Grove Street.

3. Sweet
A. Tagging up Turf
The mission starts after you have gone over to Sweet’s house and talked to him about staying around for real. In this mission you must go into Ballas territory and spray over their gang tags. You will drive into Idlewood, and sweet will spray one tag, and you will spray another two (Will be marked on the map by Green Dots). After this return to the car and drive over to the next place in East Los Santos.  Spray the tags on the map, and kill the Ballas there with the spray can. After you have done this, Sweet will drive up in his car. Get into the car and drive back to Grove Street.
Simply Put:
Get into Sweet’s car and drive to idlewood, spray the two tags. Get back into Sweet’s car and drive to East Los Santos. Find and spray the other tags you are given while killing Ballas. Drive back to Grove Street with Sweet.

B. Cleaning the Hood
Hint: Take either the shovel (behind Ryder’s house) or the pistol (behind the house to the left of Sweet’s) to be able to get through the crack den easier.
This mission is about one of the crack dealers in the Grove Street families. Go see B-Dup, who will inform you about the situation. Go return to Grove Street where you will see a Crack dealer selling to some Grove Street members. Get out of the car and kill the crack dealer, in which you will find the whereabouts of the crack den, in idlewood. Go into the crack den and kill all of the Ballas in there. After beating all of them up, you will be sent back to Grove Street to complete the mission.
Simply put:
Go to B-Dup’s place. Then go kill the crack dealer. Then go raid the Crack Den. Then drive back to Grove Street.

C. Drive Through
Sweet, Ryder, and Big Smoke are found, and you all decide to go on a drive through run at the nearest Cluckin’ Bell. When you get there, you all order food (Big Smoke getting a ton) and when you leave, some Ballas come up and attempt a drive by on you. CJ must drive the car while Sweet and Ryder shoot at the car, destroying it. Big Smoke just eats everyone’s food. (Foreshadowing) CJ drives Sweet and Ryder back to Grove Street, then drives Big Smoke back to his house in Idlewood.
Simply Put:
Get into the car, go to Cluckin’ bell, chase the Ballas, drive back to Sweet’s house, drive back to Big Smoke’s house

D. Nines and AKs
This mission is one where you drive with Big Smoke to Emmet’s place to pick up some weapons, after Ryder says they are low on weapons. You must get into Big Smoke’s car, and drive down south to Emmet’s. After getting there, Big Smoke shows you how to shoot, before handing you the gun. Just use the shoot button and move from bottle to bottle. When you have to shoot the car, move the on screen target right to the gas tank to blow it up. Emmet will then tell you to stop by any time that you need a gun. Get into Smoke’s car and drive back to Smoke’s house in Idlewood. After a few minutes, you will get a call from Sweet telling you to stop by the Binco and get some green colored cloths to represent Grove Street. Go get the new cloths and exit the Binco.
Simply Put:
Go with Big Smoke to Emmet’s place to pick up some guns. Practice your shooting. Drive Smoke back to Idle wood. Get a call from Sweet and stop by Binco to get some green clothing.

E. Drive By
This mission is given to you by Sweet Johnson. In the mission, you are to get into the Grove Street car with your homies. From there, you are to drive into Ballas territory. There, you must take out 4 groups of Ballas. You must not allow the car you are in to be destroyed. Big Smoke, Ryder, and Sweet will shoot at the Ballas, all you have to do is drive the car by them. TIP- You can run over some of the Ballas for some easy kills. After you have taken out all 4 groups of Ballas, you must drive to a Pay N’ Spray to get your car sprayed to lose the cops. After you have done that, you should go back to grove street.
Simply Put:
Get into the grove street car. Drive into Ballas territory and have your friends shoot down the Ballas. Go to the Pay N’ Spray to lose the cops. Drive back to grove street.

F. Sweet’s Girl
In the mission sweet’s girl, Sweet has been captured by the Seville Boulevard families. You must go down to where they are (right next to the 8-Track) and take them out. They have surrounded Sweet, and you are on a time limit to get down there. TIP: Go by Emmets to get a gun if you haven’t already picked one up. Once you have defeated the Seville Boulevard families surrounding Sweet, you must go pick up a Four Door car to pick up Sweet and his girl. After you pick them up you must drive back to Grove Street.
Simply put:
Go save Sweet from the Seville Boulevard families before they have wasted him. Then get a four door car to pick up him and his girl. Drive back to grove street.

G. César Vialpando
In this mission, Sweet tells you to go down into Willow Field to get a savanna so you would be able to watch over your sister’s new boyfriend Cesar. You must go down there and get it, where the guy gives it to you as he owes Sweet a favor for something Sweet did for him a long time ago. You then need to mod the low rider by going into the mod garage, it doesn’t matter what you get done to it. From there, you are to go to the low rider meeting and see what is happening. You there must use the buttons on the car to “dance” to the music that is being played. If you when, you will pass the mission and gain Cesar’s trust.
Simply Put:
Go to the Willow Field Low Rider shop to get a ride. Get the car modded. Go to the low rider meet and beat your competition.

H. OC Loc
In this mission you go to the Jail in los Santos to get a long time Grove Street member, OC Loc, out of jail. Once you pick him up, he tells you that he must go kill Vagos Member Freddy. You then go over to Freddy’s house to kill him. He gets away and drives on a bike. There is a bike near by that you get on and drive after him. HINT: You can’t kill Freddy when you are chasing him. The only way is when he gets off of his bike at the end of his run. Make sure you have a strong weapon! Also, Freddy will take some sharp turns, so follow him closely but don’t try to get too close to him or you may lose him. Once you get to your destination, you have to kill Freddy and his Vagos friends. Once you do this you must drive Freddy over to the Burger shot where he is starting a new job.
Simply Put:
Go and pick up OC Loc from the jail. Then, go to Freddy’s house and ring the door bell. After this, get on the bike and track down then kill Freddy. Take OC Loc to the Burger shot.

I. Running Dog
Running dog is a mission for Big Smoke in which you have to go kill a gang member in the Vagos area of town. You have to get into Big Smoke’s car and drive into the area. After this a cut scene will play and Big Smoke will kill a gang member and the other one will try to run away. After this happens you have to get out of the car and chase down the Vagos member and kill him. After this you just have to drive Big Smoke home.
Simply Put: Get into big smokes car and drive to the Vagos territory. Watch the cut scene. Chase down the Vagos member and kill him. Drive Big Smoke home.

J. Wrong Side of the Tracks
Wrong side of the tracks is a mission given to you by Big Smoke in which you must disrupt a meeting of the Vagos in Unity station and follow a train while Big Smoke kills Vagos on top of the train. What you must do is get into Big Smoke’s car and drive to unity station. When there, the vagos will blow up your car and get on top of a train. From there you and Big Smoke will get on a train to go and try and chase them down. You must follow them and kill all of the Vagos members before it gets to the boarder of Las Santos and the next area.
Simply put: Get into big smoke’s car. Drive to unity station. Get on the bike. Follow the vagos closely and don’t let them get away.
Hint: Drive on the other side of the right track so big smoke can easily shoot at the vagos.

K. Just Business
Just business is a mission given to you by Big Smoke in which he wants you to take down the Russian Mafia. What you must do is go downtown and take out the Russians. However, when you get down there the Russians are waiting for you. You must protect Big Smoke from the gun fire. You will then get on a bike and run from the Russians. You must shoot at the cars and vans coming for you and blow them up. Once you get back to the hood, you escape and the mission is over.
Simply Put: Get big smoke downtown. Protect him from the Russians and try and escape on the bike.

L. Home Invasion
The mission Home Invasion is one given to you by Ryder in which you have to steal weapons from a veteran. What you have to do is get in the black truck and drive to the guy’s house. What you do from there is hard. You must slowly go through his house and take boxes of guns out. You must get at least 3, but there are a lot more that you are able to get. Once you have done this you must exit the house and drive back to the shed and put the truck away. You do have a time limit to do this, and you must be very careful.
Simply put: Drive the truck to the guy’s house. Go inside and get 3 boxes of guns out of his house. Drive over to the storage unit.

v. The truck is destroyed.

M. Catalyst
Catalyst is a mission given to you by Ryder in which you must get Ammo from the Vagos and protect it from the Ballas. What you must do is pretty complicated. You must stop the train from leaving with the Vagos on it by killing all of the vagos. After that you must protect the train from the Ballas trying to get on. You must also throw the Ammo off of the train to Ryder, who is in the back of a truck.
Simply Put: Drive Ryder's truck to the ammo train. Shoot the Vagos robbing the train. Protect the train from the Ballas. Climb onto the back of the train. Toss the Ammo boxes to Ryder. Use the nearby pay 'n spray to lose the cops. Take the crates back to Grove Street.

N. Robbing Uncle Sam
Robbing Uncle Sam is a mission given to you by Ryder in which you must steal weapons from the military base down by the docks. What you must do is easier said than done.  You must get to the docks and then get in. Once you get in however, there will be tons of military guards. Ryder will try to take them out, but he’s a bad shot so you must do it instead. You have to get a forklift and move all of the boxes into the van and get away. You then must put the van in the lock up in willow field.
Simply put: Get into the van with Ryder. Go down to the docks and shoot the gate open. Get into the forklift and put all of the boxes into the van. Drive to the lock up in willow field.

O. High stakes, low rider
High stakes, low rider is a mission given to you by César Vialpando. In the mission, you must get a low rider and meet César Vialpando at the race start. You must then race and win. The race is pretty long and the other racers are good so you must be careful.
Simply Put: Meet César Vialpando at the starting line. Win the race.

P. Life’s a Beach
Life’s a Beach is a mission given to you by OG Loc where he wants a sound system for his party. What you must do is go to the beach and enter a dance contest to win the sound system operator’s trust. After this you must steal the sound van and drive it back to the garage.
Hint: In the dance contest, you must get a 2500 to get access to the van.
Simply put: Go to the beach. Enter a dance contest to win the trust of the sound system operator. Steal the sound system. Get the van back to the garage.
Ways to Fail:

iv. Do the dance wrong. ( get lower then 2500)

Q. Madd Dogg’s Rhymes
In the mission Madd Dogg’s Rhymes you must steal Madd Dogg’s rhyme book from his mansion. This is really hard, as you must sneak through his house. You’ll start by driving out to his place and going around back. For the first few guards when you get in, it is really smart to use the knife to stab them in the neck and not give them a chance to make noise or fight back. Once you’ve taken his Rhyme book, you should switch out to a powerful weapon (such as an Uzi or an AK-47 or an M-6) and shoot all the guards that are coming for you. Once you’ve gotten out, drive your car back down to the burger shot to give OG Loc the Rhyme book.
Simply Put: Go to Madd Dogg’s mansion and go inside. Use a knife to take out the first few guards until you have gotten the Rhyme book. Once you have gotten it, leave by shooting down all of the guards with a powerful weapon. Get back into your car and drive down to the burger shot and give the Rhyme book to OG Loc.

R. Management Issues
In this mission, you are to take out OG Loc’s boss, Alan Crawford. What you must do isn’t too hard. You must go and damage the car of the one of Madd Dogg’s drivers to get him out of the car. Next you must take his car and meet up with the other drivers. During this step, do not damage the car. When you get there, park the car so that it is facing in the same direction as the other cars. You must drive away but stay in the line with the other drivers. When you get to the awards ceremony, Alan will get into the car. Then you must go and drive off of the Pier. Bail before you get to the edge so that the car falls off and Alan drowns and you don’t end up in the water.
Simply Put: Go to the burger shot where one of Madd Dogg’s drivers is eating. Damage his car so he gets out. Then, take his car and drive and meet with the other drivers. Then, drive to the awards ceremony and get Alan. Then go and drive the car off of the Pier to drown Alan. Make sure to bail before, but you’ll still win the mission even if you don’t bail in time.

S. House Party
House party is a mission where OG Loc throws a house party and Ballas end up attacking. You’ll have to protect the house from the Ballas. What you must do is go to the party, and wait until the Ballas attack. When they do, you’ll have to kill them from the front drive, next to Ryder’s house, and up on the bridge. During this, the other grove street people will try and help you out by shooting but they are no help. You have to protect sweets girl and not allow her to die.
Simply Put: You must go to the house party thrown by OG Loc and defend Grove Street from ballas trying to attack. You must also not allow sweet’s girl to die.

T. Burning Desire
Burning desire is a mission given to you by C.R.A.S.H (the cops) where you must go and burn down a Vagos house. HINT: Get the fire extinguisher before going inside (before you even start the whole mission). You start the mission having to go get some Molotov Cocktails from downtown. After you get them, you are to go into the Vagos area and torch the house. You have to throw them into the windows, but this isn’t too hard as the windows are large, and you have tons of cocktails. You have to take out a few Vagos guards on the way around the house. Once the house is burning, you will hear a girl yell from inside. You must go in there and rescue her, using the fire extinguisher, and then you must get her home. She will ask you out on a date after this, and she becomes your girlfriend. You must do stuff for her ALL the time to keep her and eventually get a Pimp suit, but it’s a lot of work and I just skipped it.
Simply Put: Go and pick up the Molotov Cocktails from downtown. Go to the house and throw torches into the windows to burn the house down. Take out a few guards on your way through. Once the fire is crackling, you hear a girl and must go inside to save her. Use the fire extinguisher to get her out, then take her some and she’ll become your girlfriend.

U. Gray Imports
In this mission, given to you by C.R.A.S.H. in which you must take out a Russian dealer when he is making a deal with the ballas. You must go down to the docks where the Russians and the Ballas are making the deal. HINT: Bring a strong gun; preferably an AK-47 or an M6 as there will be very strong people there. You must go in and smash open the key pad unlocking the door. Once inside, you will have to make your way through many levels with lots of Russians trying to shoot you down.  You have to go inside the office where they are making a deal, shoot the dealer before he has a chance to escape, run in there shooting, even if not at a target. When he gets away, you probably won’t be able to catch him.
Simply Put: Go to the docks where the Russians and Ballas are making a deal. Get inside by smashing the key pad. Go inside and kill everyone. Go into the office shooting to take out the main guy before he is able to run away.

V. Doberman
Doberman is a mission given to you by sweet, in which you must go and take Glen Park from the Ballas. In this mission you are introduced to Ammu Nation, a gun shop in which you will buy all of your guns for the game. (The prices may seem high now but when you get more money they’re pretty cheap). You’ll have to go and buy a piece, and then go to Glen Park and kill a few Ballas to start a gang war. Once you do, you will have to survive three waves of Ballas, getting harder after each round. In every gang war, there will be three waves of enemies to take down. Once you’ve killed them all, the territory becomes yours and you win the level. But in this one, you have to take out one of the head Ballas. Once you’ve killed him the territory becomes yours. By doing this you unlock the feature of taking over territory. But, other gangs can take the territory you’ve gotten by attacking that area. You’ll have to defend all of your areas from opposing attacks.
Simply Put: You must go to Ammu Nation to buy a gun. Once you have you have to go to Glen Park and kill some Ballas to start a gang way. You must then kill three waves of Ballas. Then kill one of the main Ballas, then the territory becomes yours.

W. Los Sepulcros
In the mission Los Sepulcros, you have to get a gang together and get into a car. Then you must go to a funeral, where Kane (the head Balla) will be and you must kill him. He’ll try to escape so you must kill him first. Once you have done this, a bunch of his men will come for you, for this you need to kill them all before they get to you. A good piece (as always, I recommend an AK-47 or an M6) will be able to do them in. Once you have killed them all, get back into the car and drive sweet home.
Simply Put: Get a gang into a car and drive to the funeral. Kill Kane before he is able to get away. Once his men get there, you must kill them before you are allowed to leave. Once you have done that, get into the car and take Sweet home.

X. Reuniting the Families
Reuniting the Families is one of the last missions in the Los Santos missions. What you must do in this mission is interrupt the whole mission of the Ballas at their hotel. There, you will have to take out a ton of the swat team, who are after you and sweet. The whole point of it is to safely get sweet out. In this mission you will NEED a strong weapon. The SWAT teams have really strong ones, and you’ll need a strong automatic. Also, there is a vending machine in the front lobby that you can heal yourself with. You must go through the entire hotel and then go out on the roof. After this a SWAT helicopter will come after you and sweet and you must protect him by shooting it down. After this you must follow sweet then protect the car you are in from the cops.
Simply Put: Go into the hotel and save sweet. Go onto the roof and shoot down the helicopter and protect sweet. Then follow him and protect the car until you are able to get away.

Y. The Green Sabre
In this mission, CJ finally realizes that he has been betrayed by Ryder and Big Smoke when he gets into Cesar’s car under the bridge, which is your first check point. You find out that they have called on Ballas to take out Sweet, and cops to arrest you. After you have gotten into Cesar’s car under the bridge, you must rush to go and save Sweet, who is being ambushed by Ballas. You have to get there before time runs out. After this, there will be waves of Ballas come in, until finally the cops arrive. When they do, they will take you away and put Sweet in jail. They’ll take you to San Fierro. Also, all of your weapons will be gone when you get there, so try not to spend too much money on weapons for this mission.
Simply Put: Go to the car Cesar has for you under the bridge, get in and listen to the recording. Rush to downtown and get to Sweet before the Ballas kill him. Then, fend off all of the Ballas until the police finally arrive, taking you to San Fierro.
Ways to fail:
i. CJ gets killed
ii. CJ gets busted (before the ending)
iii. Sweet gets killed
iv. The car waiting for you is destroyed
Rewards:
i. Access to Flint country and San Fierro
ii. All dressed up for San Fierro achievement

I'd suggest giving more structure into the guide. Use coloring, spacing between different missions, perhaps pictures (though that isn't always needed).

Also, FYI, during TdV multiple part guides aren't allowed. Unless that got changed this TdV.

Large guides should always be broken down, tdv or not. And this guide at 18k words, should be broken down as things will be easier to find.

Barathemos : not going to start a massive argument here, but that post doesn't state that they have to get broken down. Furthermore, in the rules of this forum, as well as the further explained rules during TdV months, it is stated that multiple part guides are allowed only outside TdV months. 

Then again, it's not up to me to decide things here. I just don't want you to get your Viz and cp revoked because you didn't read every rule or something, since a lot of work did go in this guide.

Speaking seriously, nothing to say about the content. As it has been stated, the structure perhaps is what can be changed. To my taste, I would prefer a little introduction of what the reader is about to see, even more if you break it down in separate parts. Also, spacing it a little bit and highlighting the start of each section can make it easier to read.

I know how difficult is to write a guide when you need more than 100 hours of gameplay alone, and I must say that going through such a long process needs a strong will and dedication. Let me praise you for this.

Barathemos :

Structure. The first thing I noticed is the lack of use of paragraphs separated by the enter key. There's times in your guide where I lose my place because there's no breaks between lines. I recommend that you try to separate the guide based on chapters or events in a way that allows you to keep all your information chronological and orderly. Having separated the guide based on chapters or events allows your readers to browse through to the parts they might be having problems with. If I am halfway through the game, I don't even know which page to go in order to find the part I'm stuck at. I could read through every line until I find what I need but it's very time consuming and I'd probably search for another guide to find my answers.

Color. One way to help organize your work is to add a little bit of color. Let's imagine you split your guide into chapters or events and you added a little bit of orange / bold to make these sections stand out.  It's not mandatory but it will definitely help your guide stand out.

Organization. I like the fact that your guide is detailed and includes "Ways to fail" which helps the gamer know what they should avoid if they want to succeed. I didn't understand the use of your letters and numbers before each different detail. At first, it was confusing. I know my Roman numerals but you used several different numbering techniques that's confusing, especially when you don't separate paragraphs.

Overall. The biggest benefit to your guide is your detail. Most of it is simplistic and straight to the point, which helps readers find their answers. To me, the most important component to a successful game guide is it's detail. Doctoring up your guide and making it pretty does you nothing if you don't have details.
