WOW.

Today the Head of Section for middle school was giving out awards to middle school students for their performance during the first term (don't ask me why it happened this late ).

So anyway, I noticed there were more and more students this year getting Honors, High Honors, Distinction, and High Distinction than last year. I'm so proud of my school xD.

My friends and I laughed when the Head of Section said "unfortunately, there were no awards for Year 8". Year 8 is basically just Grade 8, but the students in Year 8 are in the Lebanese system, which teaches more things in Arabic. I'm in Grade 8, the American system, since I'm horrible at Arabic . We didn't mean to be mean, but we just had to laugh; "Year" this versus "Grade" that has been going on ever since the sixth grade, and this time, WE won xD.

I was the only one in Grade 8 who got High Distinction, but what really surprised me was when she said my name followed by "passed Term 1 with High Distinction and the highest average in middle school."

The highest average in middle school?!

Not to brag, but... I knew I was good, just not THAT good .

That doesn't sound late, the first term hasn't really ended anywhere over here, for middle or high school. Getting the highest average in the entire middle school sounds awesome, everybody you know must be really happy or really jealous.

I never got anywhere near high in middle school, I never even got a bronze award.

Should I congratulate her, or decide not to open my mouth around such intelligence?

lol And just to be clear, I didn't mean that as sarcasm, it was just a silly way of saying congratulations. You just have on paper what the people on Vizzed have already known for a long time: you're a very smart young lady. And highest average in middleschool? Impressive! Keep it up, Kimmy!

Whoa. That's one of the best accomplishments you can get in middle school, if not the best one!!! Congrats and keep being a nerd an extraordinary student! Especially in college. That can get you really far.
