Vizzed Board is not a scam in any way which 1 user has claimed. JigSaw closed those threads to prevent wars from starting up and he knows that I'm incredibly busy this month, far to busy to defend myself so his intentions of deleting those posts were for the best. I will set aside an hour or so from my busy schedule to clear some things up though because I don't want to be hated for things I didn't do or to have others be manipulated to hate Vizzed Board. Keep in mind that when you call donating to vizzed board a scam, JigSaw has donated far more than anyone else, he's donated well over $200 to the site, so he would know better than anyone else that Vizzed Board is not a scam.

I'm going to pick apart his post that he posted which has stirred up some concern.

I went to Retro Uprising and asked to use the ArcadeOX on vizzed board but Retro Uprising charged $250 per a system (and an additional $100 per a system each additional year). Not only that, this didn't include every game for each system, it didn't include the best games and didn't support saving. This is in fact illegal, he's using emulators others made and is charging money for others to use them on their own sites. It's also illegal because he's taking emulators that are open-source, modifying them and isn't making the modified source publically available, which is what he's legally suppose to do (but hey, I really don't care and I'm not going to judge him for this). Also, Retro Uprising isn't the first site to come up with this concept so how am I copying Retro Uprising for wanting to do this?

Actually what my point here was that someone analyze the source code of the emulator and based on that, create a completely new emulator. This is completely legal however, I never did go on with this idea as I didn't think it was right to do (and it wasn't my idea in the first place). So this project never continued.

Now this situation is hilarious. Retro Uprising originally stole this emulator from Romain Tisserand and Retro Uprising refused to take it down, even after Romain kindly asked them to remove it from their site. Eventually Romain had to take force and had to have the hosting of Retro Uprising take it down. Now the reason I made a project on that was so I could get a copy of the emulator because the one he was using only worked on his site and I wanted it to work on my site as well. I couldn't find the emulator anywhere and as far as I knew, it didn't require a license and when I saw that RU had it, that was the only copy I could find. So I wasn't stealing what RU had since they had no right to have it in the first place and they were the ones who actually stole it. Also note that that project was posted many months ago and when I obtained the emulator, I took it down weeks later after finding out that it was illegally stolen.

As stated already, I haven't stolen anything, nor have I lied to my users. All the money that has been donated has yet to be spent and will be spent on getting SNES playable on the site. Also note that everyone who donated was compensated in some way and have been given many thanks.



To conclude, I don't have Vizzed Board and the Retro Game Room to make a ton of money. Actually, since Vizzed Board and the Retro Game Room has been up, I've probably invested well over $3000 of my own money which I've never made back. The cost of the site's server is around $180 a month currently and all the money I make from ads goes toward that, I haven't made a profit yet from ads and all the ad money so far has been stored to help pay for the development of adding SNES to the site. If I ever did make enough off ads, I would dedicate full time to developing on vizzed board and also give money back to the community in some way.

My goal with the site is to offer a family friendly site that offers games and entertainment to those who cannot afford them (and also offer retro games to those who never got to experience them and to also let those who did experience them relive many memories they may have with the games). It saddens me to know how many kids out there come from family's who either do not buy them many presents or cannot afford to buy them presents, Vizzed Board is a relief to these children which offers them thousands of games to play. Every day I try to live the life God would want me to live and I have no intent to rip people off or to make anyone mad. In fact, some of the extra money I made from ads that didn't go back into the site I donated toward a children adoption service, and I will continue to do this sort of stuff. I've even created threads in the past on Vizzed Board where I'd give money back to the site users, and this was back when I wasn't making any money from the site so the money was coming out of my own pocket.



Regarding Retro Uprising:
Again, I'm not in this to make a profit. Also, I have nothing against Retro Uprising and I'd like to apologize to the Retro Uprising community for anything bad I have said against them or for anything wrong I have done.

1 last thing: I've contributed to the Retro Uprising community by donating a batch of more than 125 Japanese Translated to English SNES games that I have gathered. This is something I did months ago. And I didn't do it for attention or any other purpose (especially since I didn't get credit for it), I did it with the single purpose of helping out Retro Uprising.



Oh and regarding Viz:
Some have also complained about games costing Viz. Well the main 3 reasons for this are:
1. Server costs are incredibly high and if I let every person play as many games as they want, I'd be paying double the amount I pay now. If I start to make enough off ads to cover that, I will make the games free.
2. It helps to get people to contribute to vizzed board in some way. By rating a game that you've bought with Viz, you've basically just earned your Viz back so it's really not hard to earn Viz. Rating a game that you've played with a score only takes a few seconds.
3. It gives Viz some extra value and makes it more fun to earn.
As I said, Viz is incredibly easy to earn. 100 for registering, 50 each day for logging on, 10 for rating a game, etc.

I love how exagerated things can become on the internet. I've known you for a long time and I found it hard to believe that you were "stealing" from your members. You don't actually charge people to register on your board (which at this point you could and probably should considering what you offer)... but you don't. People who donate are giving money towards getting more game systems onto the board.... what you do with that money is up to you. Regardless of what that money is spent on in the end is not under the persons control who donates. In the end if it helps to get an SNES emulator onto the board then great.

I just don't see what the big deal here is. I don't feel cheated or used by David. I've helped him set up both the RGR and the RTR in my own small way. Unlike a lot of the people that use them though. Most of the people that come here simply log on and play games and watch cartoons and then leave. They are the ones getting something for nothing.

What a load of bull on AxKick's part. David has never done any of those things. I've known him for a year, and he is a very kind person who does not believe in things such as theft. So, I think it's safe to assume that AxKick was just trying to stir some bull up.

I read everything and I can't believe someone would take so little information and manipulate it to mean something else. I agree with what David is doing here. Being apart of this board for many years, i've seen it grow and become a better site and it was done for the users of the site and many others to come. I know for myself, I haven't really contributed to the site, but it's contributed to me. It's given me a community online to feel at home with and a place to go when i'm bored and if I have problems, there are great people on this board that are willing to help. Yes, there is drama, but it's like a family here. Once something like that happens, it can be solved and everyone can be forgiven, that's what families do. David has my full support of what he's doing.

People just don't listen do they? How many times have I told them it's not a scam and they don't listen. Now you can see why I censored them.

Another thing we forgot to add on is Get-Your-Rom. I highly doubt we would be scamming when we got over 40,000 roms on that site alone which took thousands of hours worth of work with no pay. GYR should give you good reason to believe it's not a scam and we mean what we say.

And they must have thought I was just a mod who liked censoring people? I know David better then anyone else on here and work along him with most of these projects so I know better then anyone what the real deal is. Must've missed that thread or something. I didn't see it when I was a around during the past couple days. I didn't know a RU even existed. So somebody found it easy to look at something the wrong way and blow it up. Nice. Looks like he didn't get to eat his toast butter-side-down that day.

A scam. I don't have too much to say about that. I've been here for a few months and I know a little about the history of Vizzed. So I see that claim as rubbish. I've read about how much time was put into the site. How things are being added every once in a while to use by members for free. I didn't seem to me that the intent of this place was to make money. I know people create sites with the intent of just that, and some people use scams to do it. This place was made for people to have fun. All the things added here, most for free, testify to that. You don't do something like that and spend countless hours in developing a board just to use it as a cover for stealing money from people otherwise your time is poorly used and you're pretty stupid. If you do then damn, teach me how to do something like that do I can earn a few measly dollars.

Maybe axkick or whatever the hell his ignorant name is should take a look at things more closely: if Vizzed really is a scam it then sure is a s***ty one. 1. This site is free to access. 2. Most of the members here are young and probably don't even have jobs. Wrong type of scam market. 3. David doesn't have anything here worth paying for. Emulators for the board. Wow. Who cares about that? Anybody who knows what they are also knows they are free else where. So using emulators as a means to get money isn't going to work too well. I could care less about having games at Vizzed. Do I enjoy them? Yes I do. Am I glad David has them here? Very much so. I love having all this content at a board. But I came here to post, not for the sole purpose of playing ROMs. I have plenty of ROMs on my own computer: all 600-something NES, several SNES and a few Sega Saturn games (god bless Saturn). I've donated $80 to the board to help out. A lot of it was to get an SNES emulator here for everybody and another part was to see people play the games that I enjoyed in my youth. I'll also admit that I really wanted the 80,000 Viz that came with donating that much so I could accumulate funds to buy the Vizzed Sword in the item shop. Kinda stupid on my part for that one but hey I could afford it.

I don't know what David did with my money, nor do I care. But I do trust him. It's only $80 anyway, not much to me. Like I said, you don't put years of time into a site just to rip people off. And you know, I have a hard time believing that somebody who is religious, creates BIBLE games and takes the time to give Viz to people every Sunday for simply having an item shop Bible could be that way.

Plus I created Vizzed Board when I was still in school which was many years back, so to say that I've been planning the last 8 years to scam kids is actually kind of hilarious.
