Here it is: My 1 year mark.

Whether you’re surprised that it’s only been one year, or that time has flown so quickly, I welcome you. I hope to share some nostalgic moments and describe some of the things that mean a lot to me.

But first.

The following people left a large positive impact on me over the past year. So much so that I made a note of it, and now I’d like to summon them.

If it wouldn’t have been too long, I’d have also summoned everyone else on my friends list. I’d allow like to to thank the Site Staff, the rest of my of my fellow mod team, and the 3 globals for their dedication to the site.



There are a few important dates I’d like to share. I’m going from memory, so forgive me if I’m off by a little.

January 7-12th -
It was a TdV month. Bintsy was in the lead, and she was virtually unstoppable. But after an unfortunate turn of events, family health kept her out of the competition for a week. (I’m sure if that hadn’t happened, she would have won.)

That said, it was within these five days that I went from a random user to an actual contender. It was during these five days that I met tgags123 and mohammedroxx3, made a lot of good friends in the chat rooms, and hit the ground running - I haven’t stopped since.

April 17th-18th -
The Minecraft server opened. It was incredible. There were 8-10 people on all day. At night it only went down to 4-5. Each day the server was almost unrecognizable from how it looked the day before.

It was during this time that I became friends with mrfe. We went crazy and pulled all-nighter after all-nighter building on the server. You don’t know how much it means to me to help out with the server. There’s so many great memories I’ve had on there with so many great people (I could make a whole thread about that itself), that I love having the chance to help others feel the same way.

July 1st -
Devil’s Nightmare opened up on the Minecraft server. It came together fantastically. It’s incredibly difficult at first, but through logic and practice you could beat the entire thing in a little over 3 minutes. I was so pumped, and it became a success.

It was also the date that the summer TdV started. I think July is easily the most active month of the board, and I had the pleasure of hosting the team competition. That TdV was a nail-biter and wasn’t even clear who would win until the last day.

There are quite a few other dates that were incredible, but I’ll leave you with these.

That said, while the experiences were amazing, it really wasn’t about what we did or when we did it. That’s not my point. It’s really all about those who I had these experiences with.

That’s it for my past.

The nostalgia is making me tear up… and I’m glad that it is.


Now that we’re done with the past. Let’s come back to the present.

I’m currently:
- 24th for post experience (around 342,000 exp)
- 33rd for post count (4899 posts total)
- 17th for Contribution Points (around 18700 cp)
- less than 7 hours away from 1000 hours in the chat room
- finishing up my 10th month as a staff member

If you add up my chatroom hours, the hours I’ve spent on minecraft (around 1000 hours), and the time I’ve spent posting, you might realize just how much this place was a part of my life. It’s crazy, but I loved every minute.

But here I am - somehow… a role model. It’s incredible how much has transpired since I first joined. And as much as I’m helping others to feel the way I first felt… I still feel those same emotions.

As far as current projects go:
- mrfe and I are working on Devil’s Nightmare pt 2
- mrfe and my (currently secret) project with the current RGR competitions forum
- I’m replaying PS2 games to hopefully make a shift into reviewing those in 2015
- I’m working through Skyrim (PS3) from the start

The present also signals the end of my journey of self pursuit. Over the past two years, I’ve really had to think about who I am, and what is the reality of the world I live in. I think I finally have answers to both of those questions, and while this journey will never truly end, for the first time I’m in a comfortable place.

In other words, things are going great. 2014 was memorable, and as it’s coming to it’s end.. I truly don’t have any regrets.

I’m ready for new years, a fantastic 2015, and another awesome year on Vizzed.

I have so many thoughts but I'm too tired to figure out how to put them into words. xD

Has it really only been one year? Wow. The things you have accomplished in such a small amount of time is incredible.

You are one of the most mature people I have ever met, but also one of the most fun people I have ever met. That is a very rare combination. It's hard to find people that you can talk about really serious things with one day and then joke about cat addictions the next day. I needed a person like that in my life, so thank you.

I have more things that I want to say, but it probably isn't the best idea to say it here in fear of upsetting certain people (or groups of people). So yeah. Congrats on 1 year! And remember, when you become a global I called it

You're one of the most incredible, active, and helpful Vizzed members I've met. I can't believe you've only been here for a year, and 10 months of your first year you've been a staff member.

I was shocked at how amazing you were when you were first very active on Vizzed. You've continuously gotten even better since then!

Sorry I haven't talked to you in a long time, and I hope you continue to make an impact on Vizzed for more years.

It's pretty cool to see it after all this time.

One year and you've done lot of things here for the website and the server. You've done better than what I've done during my very first year. You have some kind of magic, or maybe you ARE some kind of magic. It's amazing how popular, dedicated and determined you instantly became. From what I saw, server and website, you rock man. We haven't talked that much but I still remember that:

Laian : I remember that conversation! I also remember listening to a few Matrix songs after we talked about it.

Man, it's been awhile since that. I'm surprised we haven't hung out more. We've got to talk sometime.

Congratulations, Eid!!! You've done a ton in this year, and that's amazing!  Hopefully you'll stick around for plenty more years to come.

Wow EM, congrats on your first year! When I had been here for a year, some of my achievements were:
*Played several games
*Talked maybe once or twice
*Had never posted on the forums 
But you did so much in a year! You're very active, actually way too active
And I didn't leave a huge impact on you? I'll punch some huge impact in your face!

I didn't know you very well until you posted in one of my threads, and then I asked you a few questions including if you would like to be my friends and you found that okay, so that was where our friendship started. You also gave some great advice and tips when I had some trouble with things on this site and you've also given a lot of advice to other members here, no matter if it were simple or difficult problems or which member it was. You can also debate and keep it cool with good facts, something that not always goes well here unfortunately. I think there aren't any members who don't like you, unless they're butthurt

All in all, I'm happy that I've met you and that you're my friend, cheers! Let's hope that the next year will be awesome as well!

It's pretty awesome that you've reached a year.  You're one of the quality members that hangs around and adds value to vizzed, which is totally awesome.  I hope you're around for many more years.  Sometimes, I wish I could be a stay-at-home wife and have more free time. If I did, I'd actually be able to get to know people like you much better.  I won't admit to being jealous of yours and merf's friendship.    Maybe someday I'll be cool enough to make friends so easily, right?  haha!  

Anyways, I hope you have just as great a year in 2015, as you did in 2014. Thanks for doing all you do, and keep it up.  There's a time and a season for everything, and vizzed certainly seems to be your place, for now! : )

It's been a year. How time flies. I remember battling you for the white jersey didn't realise it's been that long now. Hope all goes well for you in the future.

Congrats on one year EM. You're probably one of the coolest friends I have on vizzed. Everything was fun and insane the first time we met. (January TDV. lol) You were the one who motivated me to win one jersey in that TDV for a month for my first time. (While I didn't stand a chance for anything else thanks to you and Bintsy. lol) Crazy and fun experience. 

You also became a very well-known and a great member pretty quickly which shows how talented you are. It was a heck of a year. Now let's see how the upcoming years will turn out.
