Hey guys, Green here with another Mario thread! This time I'm gonna ask you a question: What do you prefer more? Mario Kart Wii or Mario Kart 8? I have 8 and I remember playing the Wii version on my friend's house. They're both good. Mario Kart Wii is the second best selling Mario game ever. Mario Kart has increased the Wii U sale! Finally the Wii U is in action! So what do you prefer more? Mario Kart Wii or Mario Kart 8? They're both really fun to me. I expected on Mario Kart 8 that they return some characters such as Bowser Jr, King Boo, Diddy Kong, Dry Bowser and those characters. So which Mario Kart is better? Wii or 8?

Since it has anti-gravity areas in most of the tracks, it's in HD, and it has the option to play online (Mario Kart Wii's got disabled D=), I prefer Mario Kart 8.

For me would be Mario kart wii. As I enjoy it more, and I don't see myself playing the new ones anyway....I don't play the online, so the other game options don't really effect me.

8 by far. The draw-distance on the Wii was so horrible. I recently tried playing it again with my friends on my Wii at the same time, and I can no longer even focus on the karts ahead of me. It is hard enough to see them in 8, but Wii is simply ridiculous.

I despised Mario Kart Wii

I didn't like that one at all. It was not fun, boring and different to me. Mario Kart 8 on the other hand is exciting and I like the feel of the gameplay the music is outstanding. The online mode is pretty decent just wish it wouldn't disconnect during the races at random times. The only draw back to Mario Kart 8 is the battle mode. The battle mode was changed drastically, you no longer play on those battle stages like in Mario Kart 64. Nintendo made it so that you have to battle on the race tracks. It can be fun at first but when it comes down to the last two players it get's frustrating and hard to find the other player's whereabouts. Battle mode was fine the way it was hopefully this gets fixed in the future Mario Kart games.

Plot Twist: DOUBLE DASH!!

I dislike the Wii version as since one thumb is on 2 for gas, my other thumb just plants itself on the d-pad, and then I crash into a wall trying to turn with the d-pad! I hate turn the controller.

And 8 is awesome, got no problems with it, I just like Double Dash!! better.

(Double Dash!! is the GameCube version.)

I have Mario Kart Wii but I don't have Mario Kart 8. I've played the Mario Kart 8 demo and watched Mario Kart 8 on several live streams.
Out of the two, I like Mario Kart 8 better in general because of its kart customizations and how the tracks are set up (having the ability to sideways and drive in the water). The online play looks smoother and provides lots of fun racing tournaments.

(Yay for my 500th post! HYPE!)

From what I've seen, mario kart 8 looks more promising to me. I've played mario kart wii a lot and I liked it at first, but after a while it just got boring for me and I didn't enjoy it as much. The controls were okay, but I always hated the sensitivity (which I know is adjustable) and it was just frustrating to deal with every race. The music was okay, but I tire from hearing it over and over. I may not have a Wii U just yet, but I have seen plenty of gameplay from other people, and from that I would have to say that I like Mario Kart 8 better. Again though, I will have to buy it and play it for myself and then determine how good it really is, but for now I still like it better than mario kart wii.
