Well, look at that. 2 fantastic years on Vizzed. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend that time. Vizzed has, quite honestly, become a second home to me. In these two years, I have changed a lot. From a more immature 14 year old, to a Local Moderator, I have grown with you all. I cannot thank you all enough for the influences you all have had on me (even the negative ones). Without you all, I'd be a lot worse off. You have supported me, and for this last year I have given back as a site staff and then a local mod.

However, all good things must eventually come to an end. And, just as a book must finally turn it's final page, so must this chapter of my life. I absolutely love it here on Vizzed, don't get me wrong. However, it's time for the page to turn and the cover of the book to close. If you haven't guessed it by now, I'll lay it out for you. I'm stepping down from my Local Mod position, and am pretty much leaving Vizzed. I'll still check in from time to time, and be on here and there for various things, but I will be comparatively inactive. I won't be posting, unless needed, and I don't expect to even log in on most days.

Now, the quick question is 'Why?'. And that is a totally valid question. Why indeed? The short answer is this - I'm burned out. I've allowed my life to control me for too long, rather than controlling my life. I've been doing school, learning coding to start my own business, been deeply involved in another up-and-coming business, and am trying to support myself through working as well. Until now, I've made Vizzed work. Vizzed means so much to me, and losing it hurts me a ton. However, this isn't about what I want. It's about what I need to do. Therefore, with a very heavy heart, I say goodbye. I know not for how long, nor how much I'll be online. Please realize this has nothing to do with you all, and everything to do with how my life is going right now.

So, I guess this is the part where I post a bit about how people I know have influenced me positively? It'll work. Not many here, as I doubt I can do more than a few without losing a tear or two.

Singelli : We haven't been chatting as much recently, but I still remember the days we chatted regularly. For all the days spent talking, all the nights spent in both sadness and joy, and for being you; thank you from the bottom of my heart. As you've heard me say, I attribute much of my motivation to grow spiritually last year to your good example. What other response is there to that, other than gratitude? May your future be bright, and fixed on what matters most.

Eniitan : It seems that, whenever I look to see what you're doing, you're helping someone. That way of expressing love is an absolute joy to observe. I'm hard-pressed to find a time where you aren't smiling, and you have a way of brightening my day when I'm down. Sincerely, thank you.

play4fun : Heh, look at that. Since we met via Bible studies (mainly met there, at least), I've always really respected your understanding of the Bible, and also just really respected you because of who you are. In this friendship, the honor is 100% mine. Thank you, play, for investing all the time and effort into my life that you have. I will forever respect you for it, and am honored to call you a friend.

Davideo7 : I remember when I first signed up. As I was signing up, there was a part of the newbie quiz that said I shouldn't bug Davideo7. For like a year after that, I was afraid to even talk to you lol. Still, eventually I was kinda forced to talk to you, and learned that you weren't a scary man who would beat up my interwebz after all. Since then, we've had a lot of great times together (most recently this morning, when you were so excited to ban me before you went to bed so you could sleep happier). This is completely understating the fact that you built all this, lol. I've been able to not only enjoy talking to you/playing games with you, but also learning from you as well. Specifically, thank you for your great example. After I got over my fear of your power, I've managed to glean a lot from you. I look forward to many more nights where we both avoid common sense and chat until the sun rises.

It's rare indeed to find a day where you don't find ways to prove your awesomeness multiple times, lol. If it wasn't for you, I doubt I'd have stayed this long (nor made nearly as many friends). Pokefreak219 : Ahh, the freak! xD You have easily become one of my best friends as well. Whether I'm trolling you on the mc server (OP wars ftw), enjoying your great taste in music, or just chatting with you, I have yet to find a less-than-awesome interaction with you. That party you and EM threw me the other night really got me, lol. I only hope I can return the favor someday, and that it imbues even just half the gratitude your builds inspired in me.

EideticMemory : Ah, EM. I still need to make that emmy, don't I? lol. In all seriousness, I don't have words sufficient for how much our friendship means to me. I'll do my best via PM later today, but odds are I won't do you justice. We have truly done amazing things this month, as we pledged to do last month. For me, though, it's about so much more than what I've built. It's about who I built it with. It's not the conversations, it's who I was conversing with. You truly are my best friend, and I can't thank you enough.

Eirinn : Look how far we've come in a year! Last year we were chatting, playing games together, dreaming of the future, and growing together. This past year? We have taken those dreams, and are putting them into reality! We are taking those conversations, and are seeing fruit grow from them! We are looking at the future, and seeing our dreams become realities! I'm really excited to be taking this roller-coaster ride with you, and I know it'll be absolutely amazing! And, if I'm being honest, there isn't one person I'd rather do this with. Your Godly example, strength through really rough times, solid character as a man, and amazing imagination combine into an amazing man that I wouldn't trade a minute with. Thank you, Eirinn, for the past and the future. Wherever God steers this ship, I'm confident that He's got amazing plans for us. Thank you, older-brother-I-never-had. *holds up glass* To many more scary similarities between us that we discover, many more great times together, and to the future God has planned for us.

2 years is a long time. I remember when I made my 2 year thread. I felt ancient. Imagine what I feel like now. I guess you could say reborn, since I just came back. XD

And I know you stepping down from Local Moderator because of school, you told me that in chat. But what you did not say was that you were going away. Why would you go away? Chat just won't be the same without you.

Wow, where do I even begin? I could just say what I feel, but we both know how...shall we say, "wordy" I can get when I do that. I'd best check myself lest my reply end up being 1,000 words. lol

Man, I can't think of any single thing that's ever been said to or about me that I found so moving. I know you're not about to throw me a bunch of lies to make me feel good (never shied away from telling me your honest opinion on something before, so why start now? ), so those words meant a lot. More than you could know. And somehow they managed to take some of the sting out of the post overall, though it still wasn't easy to read.

So what do I have to say about your departure (that I can fit in 1,000 words or less)? How about for starters, I honestly don't think Vizzed could miss any single member more than you at their departure, with the exceptions of maybe two or three people, David himself being one of them. You seem to be the best known Mod and with good reason: You're an amazing guy with an enormous heart, and everyone who meets you can see that. You'll be sorely missed to put it mildly. And I'll probably miss you being here as much as anyone. Who will I pester via chat as often as I can find a halfway decent excuse, and drag the conversation on for hours with until the hour is so obscenely late (early?) that there is no longer any good excuse? Who else will actually stay up later than I on most nights? And who will be as good looking as I? And there so many more difficult roles you're leaving to be filled there. lol

Finally, my little-brother-I-never-had, allow me to say that I'm equally excited about this journey. I haven't the foggiest clue where all it will take us, but I know it'll be beyond our greatest expectations, and we'll have a blast getting there. And I couldn't think of a better person for the trip either. Your talents, spirit, dedication, willingness to give it your all, and insistence to always do better, leave you among the elite imo. So indeed, here's to the future, immediate and distant alike.

It is a bit sad to see you step down from the mod position, but you hopping on Vizzed every now and then would still be pretty darn relieving.

Also, I can't believe it's only your second anniversary. I always thought you had been here much longer than that. It just seems that your amount of work here makes me believe that you were here longer than two years. I hope that I could do as much as you had done here. I mean, I know I can't do exactly what you do. That just wouldn't be me. But I'd like to put in as much effort as you had for the site. I guess you can say that you're one of the people who influence me about modding and stuff.

Let's move on to the serious note. Congratulations. It's sad you have to end this journey so quickly but we all move on to more stuff in our life so I understand perfectly. We haven't talked that much but I'd like to leap through time because you are a cool man. It didn't start in the server actually. If you remember (and I do recall that), you told me you wanted to make a walkthrough of Fire Emblem and it would smash on the ground the longest walkthrough I've ever made since I became a game guide writer. I don't know what happened to this. Maybe it has been cancelled, maybe I'm wrong and it needs some time. Maybe I can help with that in the future, maybe I can make it. I would do that favor, with no hesitation. I owe you that one, even more than one favor probably. Lately, you tried to move my project to a better spot but it didn't work as planned. Hopefully someone can do this, that's all I hope.

I had a feeling this was coming. After you made that thread in that place, I knew something like this was going to happen It's really sad to see you go. You are such a great person and friend. I'm sad that you're leaving, but I'm also happy because you're doing it to change things for the better. I understand that you need to stay off of Vizzed a lot for you to be able to take control of your life. I had to stay off of Vizzed for a few days multiple times so I could change my life and focus more on school without any more problems than I was going to have. I'm going to have to do that a lot again after I start high school next month. Best of luck with improving your life.

It's a pain to see you go, man. 

You were and still are an inspiration to me. Showing me that even someone of my age can be really mature and accomplish a lot of fun and good things. 

You were a great staff member and a really talented moderator, who put in a lot of time and effort in this place.

I can't really remember where we first met, though I believe our best times were at 3 AM in chat. It was always fun, chatting with you, you americancanadian. 


I know from own experience that life can get hectic, definitely don't turn back from your decision if you feel it is best for you. As fun as this community is, we shouldn't be allowed to influence your real life and its possible issues. Sometimes taking a break, no matter how long, can really help out.

mrfe : I really am going to miss you, and don't you dare forget  it. You know... When I came back I really didn't expect much from anyone, more or less that they had forgotten me. But you guys (Singelli, Play4fun and yourself) remembered me all too well. I hated leaving as well without a trace, but I love being back as well. I'm hoping the point where your return come soon and you don't feel so overworked.

And may I also add that... When I came back online for almost a year straight, I looked at all my friends and thought "Wow. So much has changed. Singelli is down to Elite, The Pokenoob became a local and play became global. As well as other friends like Patar, Earthwarrior and Matthew, all changed their positions, and here I was gone for who knows how long". I'm so happy for you guys, I really am. But cant help but think back to when we were all just trusted members, never really thought about the possibility of becoming something more than trusted.

I really hate that your leaving, but do what you must. I'd rather you look out for your health than forcing yourself on here, even with how much you love vizzed. Lets talk about MC now. Ive had the best time on MC server that ive ever had on any other server, and that says a lot considering the last one I was on. This server has always had awesome times, but most of t he awesome times always had you involved in your Merf-ish ways, So I'd like that thank you for that. It really inst going to be the same anymore, is it? And that party? psssh, it was nothin, you deserved it. Although I do wish I had gotten more sleep that night, but eh, it's for you, em and myself knew that you needed it.

Well while I may not have known you as well as some of the other people on here nor for as long but the time I have known you for has been awesome.

Wow. 2 years. Time goes by fast. I remember when we met for the first time. You were a trusted member and I was a normal member. Shortly afterwards, you became site staff and I became a trusted member. And then a month later, I found out that you were the one who gave me my trusted status and I was hesitant on whether I truly deserved it or not. And I really thank you for that because that is how I really started on vizzed.

Now you're a local mod and I'm site staff and you're about to step down. Even though we don't talk very often, you were a good role model of a local mod to me. And you'll be missed. Good luck on improving your life merf. Remember that you're doing what's right.

I know that we haven't talked much but I've always seen you around on Vizzed many times in general. It was nice to see you participate in the livestream the other day with David, Djinn, Ddog, and Foxy because you were part of the fun in the crowd which also brought in the most viewers that I've seen in Djinn's live stream so far. That's quite the bonus!
