Special A Anime Review

Hello everyone, this is my 3rd anime review I hope that you enjoy reading it. And I added a new idea into the review. And of course I want to thank the person who helped me categorizing it. ^^

Synopsis 8 out of 10: A young little girl named Hikari Hanazono, is seen training with her father. Yes she is training, as she somehow gained superhuman strength! Then in comes in a young little boy named Kei Takashima. Little Hikari doesn’t know how strong he really is. So she tries to pull a move on him. To her surprise he counter-attacks which puts her, in a little shock. She tries again and the same thing happens. From then a glorious rivalry is born between Hikari and Kei!

Genre 8 out of 10: This anime has romance, comedy and school story genre.

Story 8 out of 10: Hikari and Kei goes to the same school. There they meet 5 other main characters. Jun Yamamoto, Megumi Yamamoto, Tadashi Karino, Akira Toudo and Ryuu Tsuji. In this anime all of the people have super long legs. If you have watched ouran high school host club then, you would know what I mean. You will enjoy what the story has to offer to you. Everyone pretty much takes days as it comes. But, these 7 people have something special, that not all people would have. For starters they own a garden house, and can do whatever they please as well. They still do school work at times though. Also they have ranks of what position they are in. The funny thing is that Hikari and Kei have supernatural strength. But, they might not be the only people to have it, as other characters have it too. I won’t mention who. That is for you to find out on your own.

Graphics 8 out of 10. The graphics has great standard hd, as this anime came out on April 6th 2008. It has that morden look, normal trees, buildings people and more. In the moment of when a character is angry or jealous, lets say Kei for an example. Dark colours will cloud him or a burning colour such as dark purple, dark blue, black or fiery orange, which would show you the funny. Even though he would sometimes be depressed about it. Their eyes are all different in a way that would explain how their personalities are. It is also bright and lively in a way you would feel welcomed, somehow after watching every episode.

Translation quality 8 out of 10:
These are the people who translated the anime so if it wasn’t for them we would be watching it in raw. They don’t have their names shown and it seems to be that these people are in a group. I will try to explain what they do.

English sub
This translation is very much different, because it is in Japanese. The way they talk it can be funny or sad at times. Like when you watch the sub, there is a lot more emotions in the voice. And the way Japanese people talk sometimes they spew out english words. Such as *Ok!* or *Ok boss!* and some other words as well. But still in the sound of japanese. It is more interesting to hear because there are many voices that you would hear like hearing what a little girl. Little boy, young girl, young boy, young man, young woman, middle age woman, middle age man. Old woman and old man sounds like. Any anime you watch that you watch in sub you would feel excited, because of how the characters may be subbed. And you would look forward to hearing the other main characters. In Special A there are some spew of English, which is really funny to hear. As you will crack up laughing a lot. The sub is really funny to watch. So it is up to you if you want to see it or not.

English dub
This is solely pure English, but I may be wrong at times. They would have, for an example. If an anime character is from a forging country. He or she would have a little accent behind their dub voice. I'll say one for an example Terry from the original Battle B-daman. If you hear him you will see what I mean. So any person can dub an anime character. Even if they decided, to choose and to act as an anime character, with a bit of accent to have. I say it is fun to hear the dub as well, to see what they have to offer. Anyways Special A is great to watch in English dub as well, as this one was made officially just recently. I never knew that they made the English dub until, I clicked on another episode to watch on youtube. I was like wow....the dub is out?! And I never knew....it had the same standard funny as the sub version. In a way the voices are similar. The dub also, has different expressions of how the way they talk, feel, and in lowing their voice for something, or for it to be high. As in being surprised and to be shocked in a way.

Sound 8 out of 10: I will start with the music section.

Music section: The first opening song of Special A is amazing to hear. It has great music for the second opening all that, to be honest. I didn’t like it but, you might. The ending songs are also good to listen too. Special A has 2 opening songs and 2 ending songs.

Actors: Yuko Goto, she is the voice of Hikari Hanazono in Special A. She one famous voice Japanese actress. She also voiced as Futaba in the original Naruto. Kirara from Gintama, Mikuru Ashina from The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya, Junko Kaname from Puella Magi Madoka and more. She has voiced many anime characters. And from some you may know, here are some other anime opening songs that she sang in.

Hitomi Nanatame: She stars as Akria Toudo in Special A, she too is famous voice actress. Shes not really much of a singer though. Here are some anime characters that she subbed in. Village girl in Samurai Champloo, Young Kouta from Elfen Lied, Mikoto Suou in School Rumble some small voice overs from Bleach, Kate Scott from Trinity Blood, Margery Daw from Shakugan No Shana and many more.

Jun Fukuyama < this guys will be my last one. And boy is he famous, as an actor and as a singer! It overwhelmed me to see who he acted as

He starrs as Kei Takashima, in Bleach hes Mizuiro Kojima and Yumichika Ayasegwa! If you don’t know who those two are then shame on you. In Code Geass……my god hes Lelouch Lamperough! Hes also Rikei from D. Gray-man. He starred in more animes so look him up. He sang a lot of songs as well but, I won’t list them.

Addictiveness: It is very addicting indeed to watch. You would want to re watch the funny episodes as there is a lot of them. My fav one is episode 6 and 22. Those ones are just too funny. You will be cracking up a lot trust me. The comedy of this anime is out of this world. ^^

Depth 4 out of 10: Hmm…..theres not much depth to be said but, the manga has a different ending, to the anime one. Its just a bit different that’s all.

Overall 9.5: It is a great to watch. There will be happy moments, sad moments, funny moments, awkward moments and more. So it has that over all anime that you look for including the story. I recommend that you watch this, because you will enjoy yourself and will also love the characters.

Is there anything that needs to be change section wise? Every anime review I do it will get more different. As I have to keep going until the category looks right. Do you like how and where I placed something’s? Is it a bit better this time? Is there a section you don’t like that need to be cut off?

A nice review, a more in dpth description on individual characters might be a nice addition. Honestly, the only anime I have watched is Sonic X, and I'm not sure I want to get into it. But I have this whole in my heart from my childhood from a lack of good cartoons, I mean really, duck tales was it. But man I love Sonic X.

I like how Japanese culture has kept favorite pastimes of America alive like retro themed video game, Ninja Warrior, and anime.

Eniitan : These just keep getting better and better Eni even though I'm very late to reading this I'm glad I took a look at it because to be honest the aren't many major nor minor problems that I can see in this Anime Review The thing Sword legion mentioned would be interesting but I also think it may be difficult since everyone perceives certain characters in different ways but that's just my opinion.


Either way awesome job big sis and I'm sorry but I can't help to give this anything less that a 10/10!

Well, once again, this is another great anime review. And I didn't know about this anime. Now that I read your review, I guess I'm going to watch a few episodes and see if it gets my attention. Keep up this good work
