With TdV coming up in a couple days, it's time to set some ground rules regarding in the Game Reviews during TdV
I know we all know. That when it come to TdV, especially for both the Yellow jersey (most words in a day) and the Red jersey (most words in a post), everyone always target the Game Reviews forum, (it's not just the Game Review forum, also the Game Guides and the Stories / Simulation / Art forum gets targeted as well for yellow and red).
So, here are the rules, if you're mostly aiming for the Red/Yellow jerseys, please make sure that you stay on topic on the review and don't get spammy just to "beat" your TdV opponent, plus also, we don't want a life story with you on this game, when you open and close your review, you can explain on the game, like tell on how the game affected the whole series. By experiencing the last TdV (January 2014), I have seen a lot of users beefing up the story part on the review, it's fine if you explain on what the story is, you don't have to explain it fully, because that's not just gaining words for red/yellow, but that could also spoil the game, maybe, so it's wise to not do this. On another note, the history of the game's development has nothing to do with the actual game itself, which is what reviews are supposed to focus on. Don't give us the explanation of the game getting developed.
Oh, I haven't forgot about the blue/green jerseys as well, based on the past TdVs I experience (both as a Moderator and a non-staff user), when someone summons a mod to a review because it's below 100 words, all plagiarized, and/or not a really good review, this doesn't mean you have to post 50 million summons to the Locals. Ok, it's one thing if someone ninja'd you (meaning someone beat you to a post), but if you clearly see that someone has already summoned the mods, that's a different story. You know how many summons Eirinn, rcarter2, and myself gets a day in the game reviews? A whole lot more than you think and we don't want our notifications get all spammed up over the summon to the same review and we get it that a review needs either moved or trashed and we don't need a billion posts telling us the same exact thing. So remember, if you see someone that has already summon the mods to the review, "DO NOT" summon the mods anymore.
If one of us 3 haven't respond to a bad review, don't keep summoning the Local Mods, because us 3 might be busy with other things, just be patient, one of us 3 will get to the bad review as soon as possible.
Just remember, I know everyone wants their 1 day of fame, we all do, just keep things on topic during TdV, and even outside of TdV, don't ignore this thread outside of TdV, because this isn't just for TdV, but anytime as well. If me, Eirinn, rcarter2 or any of the Globals+ have to DQ anyone from TdV. we will, so remember, it's best to follow the rules for the Game Reviews. Make sure you read both of these links below.
