Hello, my name is TheAdventurer and as I can see, this game has been barely reviewed. As a user here, I thought I might want to take my hat off and give my own opinion of this game to see what you guys will get out of it. Without further a do, let's begin trekking our way into this game and see what beholds in it.
First off, let me note this game was a Sequel to Bonk's Adventure, making this the second game of it's franchise. This game was made during 1991 during the same year as the Super Nintendo's release and the Debut of Super Mario World which was another platformer. I won't be comparing the two at all.

   GRAPHICS: 9

The Graphics in this game looked fairly good, especially for the standards of the Turbo-Grafx 16 since the game console can only hold about 512 Colors. I like how well integrated the sprites are and especially how the characters look in general. Also, some of the animation in my opinion looks quite smooth. The colors are also implemented well and it's actually good to look and see the bright and natural colors. This gives a bit of life into the character and it's surroundings and it's nice to see that.

   SOUND: 8

In this game, the music is quite charming to listen to, and the sound effects are well put into the game. They respectively go well with what they are suppose to go with. It might not be of high quality, but that is only because the game didn't have as big of a Sound Processor. Plus, the technology it was built on back in the late 1980's wasn't superior to what the early 90's had to offer. Overall, it's got some really catchy songs and has got some well made sound effects placed into it.

   ADDICTIVENESS: 9

This game is such a fun experience to have, I'd recommend if you ever try buying a Turbo-Grafx 16, you should try and buy a copy for yourself. There is a certain charm to the game that makes you want to try hard enough to beat it. I haven't played this game in so long, but that is only because I don't really ever have the money to buy another System. Quite frankly, I actually would just get one to play only this game, but enough rambling. This is my all time favorite for this System and not only because it displayed such an amazing experience right from the get go, but also because it's trying something different from other Platformer like games. Also, I have quite the bond with the company who made it, Hudson Soft. They have made many classic games such as Bomber Man, Adventure Island, Mario Party, and a lot of other greats. Sadly, Hudson Soft's company closed down around 2011. For the sake of the company, this game is perfect and I wish for more of this Character.

   STORY: 7

The story basically consists of you trying to recover the half of the moon that has been stolen by the evil King Drool III. Stopping him is your top priority as you who is Bonk the Caveman must stop his evil doing and create an end to his treachery.

   DEPTH: 8

The game has got a lot to it and in a short summary, here is all the little details that will help explain what is input into here. This game has 3 Modes you can play, though all these modes change out how many levels you would be playing during the course of the game, most preferably, you'd get the most out of the game by playing the full adventure mode of the game, though newcomers that aren't used to the game at least gets that option. Your character is Bonk who uses his Head for all of his attacks. Standing while attacking will move his head out to reach for an attack while Jumping and attacking will cause you to do a Down Pound type of move. You have Hearts that act as your life counter and getting hit will take either some or all of a heart depending on the enemy. You also can obtain Power-ups. When collecting a Small piece of meat, you'll be able to use a Down Pound move that will be able to shock some of the enemies on the screen. It also counts as an extra hit so you won't loose any of your Hearts. Collecting two pieces of meat or a Big Piece will transform you and you'll become invincible for a duration of the time. Whenever you're in this power-up, You'll be granted fire breath and whenever your invincibility time ends, you'll be able to take two hits instead of one. Around your area will be surrounded by food which counts as a way to gain score and increase your health, you'll also be able to find smileys around the area which is cases acts as a way of gaining lives at the end of the stage. Another way of getting lives is by collecting the little figurines of Bonk. You can also raise up your heart meter from being 3 hearts by collecting Blue Hearts. At the end of a Stage, You'll be most likely facing a boss and defeating them can grant you with an increase on your score.

   DIFFICULTY: 6

This game isn't really all to easy, in fact, you might have a lot of trouble during the later stages. This game is a bit generous on helping out by providing all you would need for Bonk to become prepared, but it tries hard not to go overboard. As a game, I think it's kinda well balanced in what it does. It doesn't Try to be too lenient nor difficult in any way possible. In fact, since you get the option to choose how long your gameplay is, it kinda works out in the end for everyone.

   Overall Rating: 9.1

This game right from the get go is quite an fantastic game to have for a collector as it is such a spectacle to look at and see all of what it does, there for showing how much the Bonk series needs more love. Bonk isn't that uncommon, but I get the feeling that he should at least have another game commemorating to what Hudson Soft did for this guy back in the day. For all of you out there who are curious to see the game yourself, go and play it for yourself and see. Thank you all for reading this review, my name is TheAdventurer, and I hope to you all try this amazing game for what it's worth.
