It was cold, dark, and maybe 5:00 AM, but I wasn’t sure. All I knew is that I was watching several episodes of my favorite television show, Finish Line Frenzy, a show about 32 contestants trying to get the precious prize of $2,500,000! On the next season, the prize will be $3,000,000 and a trip on a cruise ship to the Bahamas! As my eyes felt very heavy, I tried to turn off my TV. I almost went to sleep with my eyes almost all but then I heard a strange knock on the door. I got up, opened the door, and to my surprise, was the host of the show, Dennis Sheedy, who is also a rapper and world-class wrestler! I screamed in excitement because I was going to be on one of the world’s best television shows in over 90 countries! Dennis said that I had two days to get ready. I shut the door and immediately started to pack my bags. I watched a couple of more episodes to see how contestants compete with each other to win the prize. I did find a couple of tips that would help me win the prize. I need to stay focused, always look around, and acquire tools as soon as possible. Two days later, a was sent to an undisclosed location. A plane dropped me off (literally) on the ground. I had a load of sand in my mouth. By that point, I knew it was a beach. I don’t know what else it would be. I looked around the beach, and then, to my surprise, found a hidden camera in a bush. All of a sudden, 31 other people showed up on the island. They’re probably the other contestants. I was soon greeted by Dennis. He said that for my first challenge, I had to find one of the 32 homes on the island. If there were any homes unused by 8:00 PM, they would be burnt up in flames. They would also be burnt if there were any eliminated contestants. Three hours later, I found a home. Seven people, unfortunately, didn’t find a home. Seven homes were burned and they were all sent home. But not me! After what has felt like several days, I finally made it to the final mission. I had only one hour to practice to compete against Gayle Gully, winner of the show three years ago. He won $1,500,000! I have to run 100 meters, about the size of a football field, climb a 30 meter rock wall, and ride an ATV one kilometer and run only a few feet to get the finish line! With only one minute left to practice, I took a deep breath and said I’m ready. Dennis gave me a nod, and Gayle wished me good luck. I wished him good luck also. I was just amazed. I heard the fired blank and started to run as fast as I could. As I started to run, I felt what was almost like an earthquake. A big one. Gayle fell to the ground, but I kept running. He got back up after a while and started to sprint. But by that time, I was already climbing on the rock wall. I was fast, and I mean fast when I say it. I got down from the rock wall and got in the ATV. I noticed that the ATV had a pedal, so I hit the gas pedal and started to go. I saw the speedometer say that I was going 96 miles per hour! I had only nearly half of a kilometer to go! In the distance, I could see a golden finish line. I then stopped to take a look at what caught my eye. It was a brick! I’m not sure how it ended up there, but I’ll take it! I put the brick on the pedal, and then all of a sudden I was going 108 miles per hour! I was almost there! Soon, I saw the finish line, but instead of getting off regularly, I stood on the ATV and I was going to leap off. At the finish line, I started to jump off. The world was going in slow motion, and then there was a weird beeping noise. Everything went black, and I found myself lying down on the couch. I felt a weird sensation in between my toes. It felt like...sand! Under me was a check for…$3,000,000? There was also a ticket for a cruise ship to the Bahamas! I turned on the TV, and found my face on it. But, I just pressed the snooze button on my alarm clock and went back to sleep. It was cold, dark, and maybe 5:00 AM, but I wasn’t sure.
