OK, so it isn't a NEW laptop, but it was my older brother's and we took it to a friend of my dad's who fixed it and I'm really excited because this is my own computer!!!!!1!

For those of you who want to know, here are the specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
System Model: G53SW
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M
Approx. Total Memory: 1735 MB

Yeah it isn't much, but a HUGE leap forward from our family PC. This one runs way more games.

Also it is a laptop, so I can't really upgrade it, but I'm satisfied!

I got my first laptop when I turned 12, I remembered how great it felt! I still have it and use it when I want to play Civilizations.
I'm sure you'll take good care of it. Also you can upgrade the operating system to Window 8 pretty easily, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a tablet or if it takes too long to boot up and shut down.

Valve games are worth it.


I don't know about upgrading to Windows 8. I'll see if its worth it later on.

I'm glad that your brother's ( yours now ) laptop is functioning properly again, I remember before I had anti virus, I can't remember the website but it was a website with free games like Vizzed, and when I had gotten to that page, my computer temporarily froze, then a message popped up saying I had been attacked by trojan viruses! D:> This happened years ago though, so my computer is fine now.
