They've only had one song that I found semi-enjoyable (I think it's called "loud"), and the rest has just been...I'll say I personally haven't been able to stand listening to them. Not my style at all, and their lyrics seem so shallow, especially compared to some of the songs Ross Lynch has put out solo (compare "I Think About You" to "Pass Me By"), with "Pass Me By" being the worst. Those lyrics make no sense to me at all, since they essentially say "I'm so glad you and your boyfriend broke up (great way to address a girl who just lost her boyfriend, right?) now maybe we can be together." That's just going to get you slapped. lol And "All of the other girls said they had enough of me. Maybe you can take me now." That is a horrible way to get a girl's attention. The first question that comes to mind is, why did "all the other girls" get fed up with you, and why are you telling her that?
I'm sure I must be misunderstanding it somewhere, and I don't mean to upset any fans of theirs. I just think Ross Lynch stood a chance at making it solo, but this R5 thing is going to flop on him. The group doesn't have the needed factors to succeed, and if they do, it'll be short lived, I think. He'd be better off going 100% solo in my opinion, as the others (and the group idea) are weighing him down artistically.
