I've been trying to play The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past, but every time I get to the screen to put my name in and start the game it stops working. I've tried going in and changing the control keys manually thinking that might be the problem, but the screen keeps jamming up and I'm not able to change keys or do much of anything. I don't think it's the RGR Plug-in because I'm not having this problem on other games.  I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so, how to resolve it. Thanks! 

That's strange, I don't have any problems with the game. Did this happen just once or multiple times? Or was it one specific day? I know one thing you could do:
1: Press esc on your keyboard
2: Press load on the screen
3: On the menu that opened, click on the box with PAL
4: Click on load in the same menu.
This stopped the freezes that appeared in Super Mario RPG legend of the seven stars which is also a SNES game, so maybe it might work.

superstarblue89 : So does this problem happen for all SNES games, or just this one? So are you saying that the game freezes on you? What exactly is happening?

It seems like the game itself is working fine for me/others so the problem seems to be on your end.

juuldude and Jordanv78:This has happened multiple times. I can get to the screen to input my name, but then the keys freeze up and I can't put anything in. If I try to change the controller keys in the menu that starts acting up as well. It will either erase all of the set keys and I can't input any more or it will change all of the set keys to "1" when I try to click on it to change them. A few minutes ago I tried again to put my name in and the game started acting up and kept repeating the letter "G" or whatever letter I tried to move over to. It did allow me to enter the game that way, but the set control keys still weren't working properly. Every time I would go lift an item or open a chest it would just happen automatically without hitting any buttons or anything. It's been very strange.

I did try to uninstall and re-install the plug-in and I've tried playing on several browsers (I'm currently on Firefox, but I also tried Chrome and Opera), but it didn't make any difference. I even tried a different keyboard. I tried to follow the steps you gave me, but I didn't find any box with PAL listed in the menu screen. Maybe I've missed something. I tried another SNES game (Super Mario All-Stars) and I'm having difficulty with the control keys there as well. This is not a problem I've had on games for other systems, so I'm starting to think it could be an SNES problem. I'm just really unsure of how to fix it or if it can be fixed. Any help either of you or anyone else can give would be much appreciated!

superstarblue89 : It's probably an issue with your graphics card settings, or just an issue with your computer being older and having a hard time running more graphic intensive games..

You could try using the alternate emulator "Mednafen" to see if you have different results. To use, just load the game like your normally would then click the link in the upper left hand corner of the game window labeled "Play using Mednafen"

Sometimes people have better luck with this emulator.

This emulator allows for video recording and full-screen. To go full screen hold alt+Enter on your keyboard with the game window active.

superstarblue89 : No problem. Glad it worked out for you. For some reason a small group of people have an issue with the primary emulator that the plugin uses for SNES. If ever you have an issue with a rom like this, try loading it in the alternate emulator (if available) Most systems have more than one to choose from.
