Lights, Camera, Pants: (Wait, What?)
Lights, Camera, Pants, game created and published by THQ, In 2005. This is one of the most nostalgic titles for me, cause... I got this for my 3rd birthday. But enough about me: On to the review!. *Runs*
We will start with the graphics.
Graphics: 7
Well, This game is from the PS2, and... Yeah, Wii U, PS4, Xbox One... It's all sort of taking over these games... It's all just future technology, And everyone forgets. Well, these graphics are just okay. When I first got this game I loved the graphics and I never seen this side of Spongebob before. Now here comes the bad side... I'm getting tired of these graphics. Also, they can get scratchy and glitchy. Like In "Floor It" when you finish a race, Your car may go of too the side and show nothing but (what was supposed to be) fence and driving sings. But theres also a lot of movements that could have caused this.
Sound: 9
Sound... Is... PHENOMINAL. There is facinating music for this game, There's rock music for the theme song, Great soundtracks for each minigame, Some of this music makes you feel like you are in the area the gameplay is in, And you even get to play some music in a later minigame! (more on that later) Now, on to the sounds. They are playing constantly thorughout the game. And all hard to understand, because they are going so fast, But I guess no game can live without em! Some of the sounds, are just mimicking the actions you do in the game. But some like a soccer goal are actually GREAT. Like If you destroy a rock in "Rubble Rabble" You get a smashing sound. But the sounds do nothing for me, But they are A-OK.
Addictiveness: 10
I reviewed this game for one reason. And one reason only. I found this game in my game cabinet after my PS2 stopped working. For some reason, The a different PS2 I had suddenly worked again. So I just played this game and I just felt great. You have a lot of stuff to that will keep you busy. You have just normal minigames, movies to unlock and watch, BONUS action figures... "And Much, Much, Much, Much, Much, More!" (Funny thing is, The last thing I said was from the DVD trailer, Which is a video you can watch in this game. But I actually do mean that quote.)
Story: 8
There really is no story, But there IS something....
In Bikini Bottom, A new episode (or movie) is being filmed right in Spongebob's hometown! He and his freinds: Spongebob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, Plankton & Sandy all will compete for roles in this movie. Play Through 30 minigames in 8 places while earning a role in each!
Yup, this surely is fun when you play this. But have we ever had a movie-based Spongebob game? Oh, Wait, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie Game. It was made in 2004. But It has nothing to do about 30 minigames or movie roles, does it?
Depth: 10+
Ok, 30 minigames, Huh, Let's go over a few, Huh?
The Bouncers: Bounce Krusty Krab parcels atop your head and into the parcel pile. Inflatable Pants: Inflate your pants to fly through gaps. Pedal of Honor: Go up ramps to do tricks. Put tricks together to earn more points. Rock Bottom: Play music according to the buttons on the screen. Machine Meltdown: Repair machines to make Chum Bucket food. The Tide Piper: Hypnotize Jellyfish with the noise of your horn (Piper) Catch the Jellyfish the color of your team (Catcher) The piper's horn can also stun players from the opposite team. Breakin' Out: Catch prisoners from 3 ropes. Once you have the amount of prisoners you want (max. 3) Bounce them on the trampoline. Watch out for the spotlights! Rope Burn: Use batteries of a certain color to help your teammate climb ropes!
You also have cross-save data, If you have save data on your memory card for the following games: Barnyard, Nicktoons Unite!, and Tak: The Great Juju Challenge, You can unlock BONUSES. When you defeat the game, (In Gold gameplay) You can unlock a Make-Your-Own Movie option. Put the characters down for the role by selecting them on the screen. The movies them self, (unlocked only when Bronze, Sliver or Gold is completed (There is one movie for each)) And just fun, fun, fun.
Difficulty: 10
Actually the minigames or the game itself is not hard. (Ok, Maybe just a little) This actually depends on whether you have enough popularity points to get the role. So the difficulty depends on what mode you've progressed to. Bronze, Silver or Gold. Bronze needs 12750 popularity points for each role. Silver needs 13000. Gold needs 13500. You can only get 15000 for each few games. If you don't get them, your going to need to play a single minigame of your choice. So, Yeah, Difficulty is a struggle. Which brings me to my overall score...
OVERALL SCORE: 9.2
With fun values, depth and Cross-save, It's a great game for anytime. So any child, teen, er- whoever, run down and pick this up for anyone. See you later. Lights, Camera, Pants: (Wait, What?)
