Nickrj : I was wondering that myself when I bought Goonies 2 at a second-hand video game shop last year.  The guy working said he had never seen the first Goonies NES game come through there and when I searched on ebay it seems like a very rare hard to find game

a lot of NES games were held back from shipping to america especially obscure type ones like this, and even when sent over they are often changed to have higher or lower difficulties among other changes. Castlevania rondo of blood was never released in america and that's a big franchise and one of the star wars NES games never came to america either.
