Wii U. I find it more useful than the rest, I see no need for the rest. At least I can use the Wii U with my Wii, while the rest don't have dual compatibility with anything that I know of. So, yeah.

goodboy : Yes, the Wii U is the only one that is backwards compatible.
As for me, it all comes down to the games. And by far my favorite exclusives are Nindendo's. And the Wii U's controller can have many great uses as a map, or quick changing for certain items. You already know it can work, as we have seen with the ds systems.
Haven't even considered the Xbox, because they tried to completely cheat out all video game players, and only changed it when they knew they would lose money. Not buying it Microsoft.

Wii U for sure. Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, SSBU, new and old Zeldas, new Sonic, Super Mario 3D World, Watch Dogs with the tablet (this is a maybe, they haven't said they'll do anything special with the tablet). Playing games off-screen and using the tablet as an inventory looks great.
Also, I'm dirt poor, so I might be a bit biased towards Wii U since it's the cheapest heh.

PS4, no doubt about it. for quite a few reasons: 1: KH3 is is finally gonna happen, it looks and sounds awesome besides that, plus, it's rumored that little big planet 3 will happen on it! So, i'm sold, sticking with sony on this one.

I'm going with the PS4.

I don't like Wii, the controls are hard for me. 

Xbox One, it seems like a rip off. The features suck. End of story.

This is super hard, but the only one that I want to get is the Wii U. It is super overpriced, but they dod drop the price, and I need it for the new awesome games. Plus, I have never gotten the XBox or Play Station system.

The 8th Gen console that I'm going to get is the Wii U. First of all, it costs the least of all of them. Also, I like Nintendo's games a whole lot more than Sony or Microsoft's games. And also, the Wii U will get a price drop on September 20th. It will be $300 for the Deluxe Kit, as they will be discontinuing the Basic Kits. And finally, I just think that the Wii U has more potential than PS4 or XBOX One. 

I already have the Wii U and I can safely say that it's an amazing machine. The tablet controller is genius, and makes little things like searching on Netflix so much more easy and streamlined that it vastly improves the overall experience. For instance, you are able to pause a game, do a quick internet search on whatever you're stuck on, and go right back to the game. It's great. The eshop has indie titles galore, too. Add those things to the fact that the Wii U is about to be showered with a bunch of amazing new Nintendo games (Smash Bros. anyone?), and you've got yourself a winner. Oh, and the price is dropping to $300.

I would get the PS4 and the wiiu. I think the ps4 and I hope they would make some games for that system.

I plan on getting the Xbox One since I do not like the Playstation games or Sony in general, since they had a pretty bad PS3 console run. I just wish it was Kinect-less because I don't like moving while playing games. I also don't care about used games because I don't know anyone who will get the Xbox One.

Most people have been very negative towards the Xbox One but Microsoft changed it! The pricing may be more, however in many ways it is a better console. For instance, Microsoft bought Skype so in party chat you can also talk to people who do not own an Xbox One. The games are better in my opinion and I am a very big halo fan. I really want to keep following the amazing series and you do not really get a decent FPS on anything other than Xbox. Call of Duty may be a lot more popular but the campaign is embarrassing, I like a game with a good story and that is the main reason I like the Halo games!

I haven't own an 8th generation console yet, but I'll more likely be getting a Wii U, I was thinking on a PS4, but more likely that'll wait for the future sometime though.

As of right now, none. I'll wait a while before I decide about any of them. I am content with my current games, anyway.

PS4, simply because of Kingdom Hearts 3, which trumps anything that could be released on Wii U. +XBone sucks.

If I had the money, it would definitely be the Wii U.  The Wii U is the most family friendly and innovative console of the bunch.  While a lot of games will surely disappoint, the hits far outweigh the misses.  I'm most excited about the upcoming Zelda game.  Predictions set it for 2014, so we'll see about that.  I wonder if there's anywhere I can rent a console...

none of them but to be honest i do think that the play station 4 did a great job way better than the xbox one. the reason i dont like the xbox one is that you cant play xbox 360 games on it which sucks so you would have to pay more and also some people that i know bought the xbox one and said it is wack and they are selling it. Also it costs more than the play station 4 so i got to say i hated the play station 3 but the play station 4 is way better. well glad i got to post and great thread, you got great replies.

You hit the nail on the head but its not just x box its all the consoles. The problem with gaming today is the lack of quality games not the systems themselves none of the Gen 7 consoles reached there full potential and were about to move on to Gen 8. Now don't get me wrong games like the last of us just blew me away when I got it the graphics were stunning it was almost surreal on my HD tv the game play was smooth gaming mechanics were fun and the story awesome it was like watching an interactive movie but then right as you fully invest yourself into the game it ends there was only 15 hours of game play.... this story is all too common now a days it seams like I cant even buy a game anymore because 80% of the time there just too short. Sometimes you can even notice that the developers just focused there efforts on one aspect of the game (graphics, story, multilayer, etc.) this is just making me want to not get a new system I mean we couldn't even perfect what we had with the current one why should we move on already but at this point I'm just rambling and if I had to choose id go PS4 my PS3 never let me down and is still going strong so if i do end up getting one its because Berta died (named the PS3 its a fat-boy)

I think I'll eventually buy a Wii U. I don't know when I'll buy one, but I do plan on getting one in the next year or two maybe. Right now though, I don't really have the money to buy it, so it'll definitely have to wait a while.
