The big three, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo, have all announced and set their new consoles for release. Nintendo has already released their Wii U, Sony will have their PS4 released in October, and Microsoft will have their Xbox One released in November.

Judging by the overall specs, features, and exclusives, which console do you have, and which consoles will you buy?

I'm personally going to buy both a PS4 and a Wii U because of Sony and Nintendo's exclusives, the PS4's specs, and the Wii U's tablet controller.

None of them. The Wii U is a $300 portable gaming system, when the Wii is $100 new. Hmm... let me think... 

The PS4 is not backwards compatible. Maybe, if it was, I would. But other than... no thanks. 

The XBOX One is not backwards compatible either. I have invested nearly $800 dollars worth of equipment for my XBOX 360 in games, headphones, controllers, and what not. Will I be able to transfer all of my save data from my 360 to the One? I don't think so. And no discs? Not going to happen with me. So thanks... but no thanks. 

Well at first I was going to get the xboxboxone but then I looked into its features and well I decided I'm switching to Sony and I'm gonna get the play station 4.

thing1 : The Wii U is in no way portable, and the Wii is already 100$ new in many places.

The PS4 will be able to cloud stream PS1-PS3 games that you had already purchased online.

With the Xbox One, it's a next generation console. You weren't able to transfer your Xbox Original data with your 360, no need to expect that now. The Xbox One has discs, but it needs a mandatory camera and internet connection once every 24 hours in order to work.

The reason that the PS4 and Xbox One have no backwards compatibility is because they have completely different processors and stuff compared to their predecessors. They are both working on ways to make it possible to play past games, but the new games will be just as good if not better.

alexanyways : Still, it would be so much change, and if I get a new console, it will probably be a PS3 just for God of War and a few other games. Unless somebody gifts me one, then sure. i will take it and try it. But, I am not buying any of them. 

No way in heck almighty am I getting the Xbox One. It's Microsoft's equal to what this 666th post represents. LOL

PS4 for me, because I've been a Sony fan since the 90s, and they've made the best and 2nd-longest lasting console ever(Atari 2600 barely beats it in lifespan), and here's to them continuing their success. Plus, it's $100 cheaper! That alone is worth it for a gamer like me!

Most likely the Play Station 4 it is awesome.

I will either get the PS4 or the Wii U I think the Xbox one is just a bit of a rip off if you ask me.

I will get both the WIi U and the Play Station 4.

I'm going to be getting the Wii U. Hopefully Nintendo will make a lot more games for it because it currently doesn't have very many games to choose from.

I will most likely be getting the Wii U or the Nintendo 3DS.

I am definitely getting a PlayStation 4. I already have my 100 minimum pre order on it and I plan on getting watchdogs as my first game. It blew the xbox one out of the water. No competition at all

I like both Sony and Nintendo consoles, so I'll likely be getting both a PS4 and WII U. I would undoubtedly get a PS4 first, but the WII U would be my second buy.

I am currently in between choices myself.

If more games that appeal to me have a P.C. port? I may not get another console.
The Nintendo or The Sony Consoles look promising.

I will not touch the new X-Box. (Too many issues.)

Shame too because the 360 is a sweet machine. I honestly do not think developers have fully tapped into the machines full potential the way they did with the N.E.S., Genisis, S.N.E.S., or P.S.1.

I Honestly have the notion that if we had a multiple disk game released? (Not H.D. sets. Just one game that is so big it takes multiple disks.)
Then we would have seen the full potential of the current console gen get unleashed.
(They did this for final fantasy 7 and 8 on the P.S.1.
Resident Evil 2, Metal Gear Solid 1, and others that were too big for one disk.)

Instead we had to dig through a ton of four hour games to find the good ones.

Either way it is still a pain to need to view unprofessional work on youtube to even have a clue to knowing if an item is worth your time and money.

I am honestly thinking of buying my next console "used".

The current games are just not very exciting or thrilling beyond the time frame of a couple of days.

The Playstation at least lets you play the game without needing an internet connection.
Nintendo is just not marketing for guys my age any-more. (It happens.)

Honestly, at this point I am undecided. Maybe because I'm older, or maybe because I'm sick of getting burned. I just want to wait and see what games come out for both the PS4 and the One. Looking back at this past console generation, It took 2 years until the 360 had a decent library of games and about a year or so for PS3.

I'm not going to put down that kind of money just to only have a game or two that I want to play.

I'll wait until the next fall and evaluate then. Heck, I might just wind up getting a Wii u for Nintendo games and building myself a decent Gaming PC and just go Steam. Only time will tell.

I am most likely going to get the Wii U because it has my favorite game franchises, and the Xbox One and PS4 are going to have nothing but shooting games, and that is not very innovative anymore, so I want something with good games, and backwards compatibility. I plan on getting the Xbox One afterward because I don't have a 360 and I don't care about used games, since I always get my games new so I have the case and manual.
