Opening: Hello, And welcome! I haven't reviewed a game in two months, so I thought I should review this one single classic since it has improved so much on the Super Nintendo, and the fact that I think I like to review games with a lot to offer. So without further ado, I now present to you my review of Ms. Pac-Man!
Description: Ms. Pac-Man is a sequel to the original Namco classic Pac-Man, Released in 1981. The game's goal is to eat every dot (Also known as Pac-Dot) And Power pellets to gain access to the next level. Avoid ghosts, or you will lose a life, and collect fruit for bonus points! But anyways, This SNES version improved on the original game, too, with new mazes, fruits (only can be found in "strange mode"), and this SNES one keeps on rolling.
Graphics: 9 Ok, remember, this is on the SNES, and almost every game for the Super Nintendo looks good because it's not just plain 8-bit, it's Improving fourth generation 16-bit! Anyways, the developer (which surprisingly wasn't Namco) did a good job to rebrand everything to the state of average Super Nintendo graphics. I loved how they did the little fruits because that was cute, Heck, even some of the fruits in the "Strange" mode could even be called "Fancy". And even the main character, Ms. Pac-Man, the ghosts and the mazes, it all had kind of a 3-D touch to them, and I liked that. And this game included brighter/darker color schemes for some mazes, and even a flashing image in a later level. That was a-ok and it was great.
Sound: 6
Now let's talk about sound. It was ok. The ghosts floating around may have been an annoyance to some people, but I ignored that, I didn't really care. Ms. Pac-Man eating dots didn't really catch my ears, but the ghosts being blue and eating them... That was like an energy drink. And even the fruit bumping around was cute, you could really hear it, unlike the plinks of the original arcade game.
Addictiveness: 10+
This is so addicting, because everything has been improved on and even expanded. These people have done some major cleaning and shining here and there. I can explain further in the Depth category, because It just wouldn't fit here in the addictiveness category.
Story: ?
This question mark rating means that this game does not seem to have a story that has been reported, so this rating will need to be left blank until further notice.
Depth: 10+
Great. Great, Great, Great, Great, Great. First off, you have 3 Different modes to play, Big, strange and mini. Secondly, you have a toggler for how difficult you want the game to be. Normal, easy, hard, and crazy. Also the developer has even given us a fast boost in this game and it is called "Pac-Booster". And you can even choose what level you can start on (only from 1-7, anymore mazes will be restricted unless you reach them.) And more, this game is multiplayer! You can alternate or compete! This game is also great to play with friends, because I have before and I should know because I own the cartridge in real life. And it is ok to play by yourself because it's very fun when you get a average score that makes you go crazy. So according to this, all these features make you never want to turn. The console. Off. (Don't burn the house down! Or your computer
)
Difficulty: 7
This really depends on what you have the difficulty set on. It's obvious, hard if you set it to hard, easy if you set it to easy, and Crazy if you set it to Crazy. (Everything will go so fast, you will be sick.)
Overall Rating For This Game Is: 10. T-E-N.With all the stuff that has been included in this game rounds this game to a rating of 10. With all the expanding, That's what makes it great!
Conclusion: I suggest you play this game, but if you do not, it is alright with me!
This is the ending of my very fun and informing review! More reviews coming up soon! I had a great time writing this. And with that, I say Goodbye!
