I have been taken to the cleaners about 3 times in my life. (Silly Broads.)
Yet still,,....
I get rid of gear I have no use for.

I have tossed out Empty D.V.D. cases. (I place them in C.D. Folders.)
About 2 pairs of Sneakers I forgot about. (Shoes.)
And
A couple Pairs of jeans that I can not find replacements for. (Cursed Current trends.)

So What do you guys get rid of?

No need to mention photos after a break up. (I did this in aother site and had the thing flooded with girls burning stuffed toys, photos, and every note, card, fortune cookie fortune, and receipt from every purchase (like love is tax deductable)).

I never cleaned out my closet for I only ever put the stuff I need to keep in there but at times I got to admit it does get a little messy in there if it does yes I may get rid of a few items but most of the time that does not happen at all.

I don't think I ever get rid of misc. useless items... they just gather in boxes and in my loft / attic whatever you want to call it.

The only thing I do get rid of is old non-wearable clothing.

I recently had a spring clean of my closet, and most of the stuff I threw out were tools I don't use anymore. Some of them are expensive, but seeing as I'm not in a line of work where I need them anymore, I will most likely sell them or something. Other than that, I don't really keep clothes in there to throw out, its pretty much an indoor shed for me.

Maybe once a year.

I'm not big on cleaning, and I'm even less big on actually doing stuff to the things I clean. I'm a packrat, so I hold onto literally everything, even if it is f***ing useless.

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Aside From my books I always try to downsize.
After being taken to the cleaners and one day missing my own comic books (many cannot be replaced easily these days). ... I have learned to only spend extra on food and myself. (Why try to be an Artist or Overtly Brilliant? They often just want someone who looks good in jeans anyway.)
I miss quite a number of my collections. It was something that gave me a sense of fufillment.
But, "thems the breaks".
I would rather score than ponder or attempt an alternative to women.
Even if I have to replace my "pots and pans set"... again. ...And "my tools"... again.

Of course......
That could be the idea.
They like the stuff. They like the cooking. They like everything.
They just don't like the fact that it comes with a Man.
I have learned a valuable lesson about being selective though.

Try to Keep the stuff that makes you YOU.
Try to Find the girl that makes you YOU.

Forget collections.
I say never be complete.
Move on an evolve.
No where to go but Forward and Up.

I still have a couple bottles of beer in my closet that are from 2006

I constantly trash stuff, donate stuff, give stuff away, or sell it.  The fewer possessions I have, the happier I am.  The house stays clean, the yard stays clean, and I don't have to maintain a bunch of stuff.

It's tough to get rid of things sometimes but I'm happier for it.  I feel a psychological weight off my shoulders and I don't have to worry about many things when I don't have anything.  I only need the basic.s

I usually get rid of stuff when I run out of room for things, or when I'm moving. Nothing spectacular, because I haven't had any relationships go bust in a while, and even when I did, I didn't get rid of a lot of stuff. This topic has reminded me that I do need to go through and organize some things, though!

I wash a pile of clothes maybe once a month. Depending when there is too many dirty clothes in the laundry box. I throw away clothes when they are too torn to be worn or fixed.

Sometimes it is sad to throw away clothes you used to like just because they are just rags of what they used to be. But I have lost also lots of clothes into some void... I washed them, put them up to dry and never saw them again.
