Wow. For a long time I've enjoyed the GBA Pokemon games. But the Gameboy Color Gold, Silver, and Crystal were my favorites. And this games brings Crystal to the GBA era flawlessly. It's everything I remember and more with some added content, new rivals, stronger trainers, and more. I admit, back in the GB Color era, the trainers were pushovers. But this game adds difficulty and challenge, which I admire greatly. Exploring the Johto region in the GBA graphics is a great thing. Now, on to the ratings. Other than difficulty, all 10's. The FireRed graphics in Crystal are beautiful. The music is remixed, Crystal music sounding more modern is awesome. The addictiveness of Crystal and FireRed combined make this game a must. The story is in-depth, with a few added events thrown in, making it fantastic. Like I said, Depth is a 10, coinciding with the story rating. This is another game where a smaller team can be a little overpowered, and bigger teams under leveled, but in this case, get to as high level as you can, and bank on type advantages, and you will do fine. Difficulty is a nine. Overall, a 9.9. I recommend this game if you want the nostalgia, or just want a good game to play. One last criticism. In the beginning, Professor Elm drops the h-e-double hockey sticks, but it's quick and what I believe to be the only "curse word". I'm not offended, but it depends on your view on things, I don't judge. But don't let that keep you from this great game.
