I like Dan due to the history of Rivalry between Capcom and S.N.K. and the Staff. Dan Started out a joke character and Eventually became a secret weapon in the Capcom versus Marvel series. He always makes me laugh with what ever incarnation I see him in. Even the Fan Made Videos on you-tube are a trip.(Ever see Dan In Soul Calibur 4 music Vids??? Some are a trip.) Even though he eventually is discovered by players as a secret weapon of sorts His Original intent and Purpose was Humor and that concept has prevailed Time and Time Again. (Ever see Cyber Dan Or Dark Dan???=Classic Ideas of Comedy.) Even the cartoons maintain he is the comic relief of the Street Fighter World. Allot of games don't do Comedy Right. The Ones that do I Want you guys to list them.
On Second Thought... List what ever you want. Just Make It Funny.
Even Dramatic Characters can only go so far.
Step up to the plate and Speak up.

Mine is Dan from Street Fighter.  It's supposed to be the joke character but Dan is a beast on Super Street Fighter 4.

Wow... that's a tough question. I tend to hate most joke characters because more often than not, they're annoying. The only good ones to me are the ones that are genuinely cute because at least they contribute something positive.

I didn't really think of Yuffie as a "joke character" though. To me, she's really cool. I guess she KINDA counts due to the way you first encounter her... but overall, I think she's just a really awesome character elevated above "joke status"

The other characters that are kind of joke characters I enjoy tend to be kinda lacking in the brains department but still mean well... characters like Norn from Atelier Iris or Lilka from Wild ARMs 2 that seem fairly dumb and give you a good laugh but aren't really too annoying and aren't hideous monstrosities or anything like some "joke characters" tend to be.

Earth worm jim because those games are full of adult humor that kids didn't understand,
and anyway who wouldn't  want his suit... its like a space suit.... xD anyway Earth-worm jim gets my vote.

Team Rocket, but not the new Team Rocket, the old seasons of Pokémon Team Rocket!

I always loved how they would fail so often, that I found myself even rooting for them sometimes. Yeah, it would never work, but I just felt so bad for them. They would blow the most obvious opportunities so often ,I wish a bone would be thrown at them.

I suppose when they play the Anti-heroes, that IS there bone. Especially when they were given an episode where they released Weezing and Arbok, which... admittedly, made me cry!

I am going to miss them. I heard they are going to be leaving the show soon too in the latest season. It is sad, but times change and so did they. Good bye Team Rocket, my favorite comedy relief!

Even though he was the main antagonist in the third Mario & Luigi, and the second in command in the first, he is still the most funny, mostly in the first. He always talks in his broken English, and has some stupid phrases that make you laugh every time. And when it comes time to face him, you wish you could take out Bowser or Mario and Luigi instead, and keep Fawful alive (at least I did).

Wonder why there is not much attention in comedy any-more. Everyone is too "up-tight."
