Hello world(spriters in particular), I am working on an original rpg in rpg maker 2003, I have many parts of it finished (mechanics wise), and i am now beginning on the mapping, and characters. That's where my dilemma comes in, I am a great writer, but a horrible spriter (hey that rhymed), so I have come to you kind folks. I currently need towns for my world map, i have three or four from different maps I've downloaded, but i want each town to be distinctly different. If you are up to it, please post as follows:

If you wish to be credited

who to be credited as



Now, I only have one rule, the sprites must be originals by you, (Frankenspriting is alright, but not preferred). Also you can post other sprites besides overworld sprites, because i might need more later (which, when it comes to that point i will state what I need). Also do not post, if you don't want people besides myself to use the sprites. Another thing, anyone is free to ask for sprites on this thread.



Last thing, I already know about charasproject, their resources however are rather lacking, and their sprite builder is not to my liking, so please do not make a snide remark, telling someone to look on the site.



As a recap, I need overworld town sprites. Happy spriting



p.s. I will reward 100 Viz per poster that provides sprites that i am happy with. 50 viz, for sprites i don't prefer, but for trying to help anyways.

Am learning to sprite, and now i need help adding texture, such as in hair color, or items, etc.

I will post a sprite set of a few characters, to see if anyone can help, the Viz reward is now: 100 for offering tips that actually help, and 50 for trying to help. Feel free to offer me tips before i post anything, just in case it's something stupid i missed, which could be resolved without even seeing the sprites.



Also just in case some con artist is trying to get my character designs for themselves, i will be posting some sprites that are just for my npc's, which i will add to charas-project.net, after they are tweaked with your tips. Those characters are simply for my testing purposes only, so no skin off my bones if anyone uses them in their own game.

Well, if you do end up posting sprites, I'd be glad to give feedback/advice. I'm not a GREAT spriter, but I've done some stuff with the RM2003 style in the past, so I might be able to help. For tilesets, you're really best off looking at a RPG Maker resource site for them. It's pretty hard to make customs with all the parts you need and to get ideas of different stuff you can add that still fits the style. I can do character sprites, though.
