A fire emblem hack, The last promise is a turn by turn RPG. This hack was created by Blazer, a well known Fire Emblem hacker. In this game you follow Siegfried and his son, Shon. You must defeat the Magnus army as it trys to take over the continent. With just a few soldiers, you are fighting for the future of Solum! Can you do it?
Graphics: The sprites, fighting animations, and conversations have great graphics. While these graphics aren't good compared to current graphics, they are great for this old system. Overall, I give the graphics a 9.
Sound: This game has great soundtracks, my compliments to Blazer for the music. While the music isn't good enough to play the game just for the music, that's not the point anyway. The music is well timed, and is applyed well. Overall, I give the sound a 10.
Addictiveness: I've played this game 4 times beggining to end, and I'm still not tired of it! This game is fun and well thought out. Overall, I give the addictiveness a 10.
Story: This game took 2 years to make. The storyline is so good, most of the time had to be spent on the story. The reason I like it so much is because of the storyline, I bet you will too! I'm not being generous when I give the story a 10.
Depth: This game has around 40 chapters, and all of them are great! 40 different battles, and none of them are too short. This game isn't just another hack, it's a well thought out story. I love the depth, I give this a 9.
Difficulty: This game goes from easy to hard in the span of the game. The prolouge was made for first time players, while the endgame requires an experienced touch. You must use all your characters and use them well, otherwise you may find yourself restarting the game! I give the difficulty a 8, because it is easy at the beginning, but becomes hard.
In conclusion: This game is a great game for veterans of Fire Emblem, or for those who've never played a fire emblem game before. The last promise is, in my opinion, better than some of the fire emblem games that nintendo made! I highly reccomend this game, give it a shot! Overall rating: 9.9
