Hey I am a slight newbie here and I was just wondering about a few things. One I wanted to know if I could change the color of the user name, I am not to fond of the color pick so I wasn't sure if this was to tell the difference between girl and boy or if it was a choice. Second I have no idea what the items on here are used for or how to level up my person. I don't know if these things are just for fun or if they have a certain importance to it. If you can answer any of these questions please let me know.

As for your name color, that's not something you can change.  Pink- red determines who is  girl, and greenish- blue determines who is a boy.  There are a few who have different colored names, but that's either because they are a global moderator, or they've been around for most of vizzed's life and made HUGE contributions to the site.

Leveling can be done by posting.  When you post, you get experience for every word posted, and your experience is what increases your level.  As you level up, your 'battle stats' will go up and your title sprite will change if you have one selected for your profile.

You're probably wondering about the battle stats.  Sometime in the near future, users will be able to 'battle' other users.  It's a feature still being worked on, but it's something that will definitely be implemented.  Whether it's just for claims of fame or for monetary gain I don't know.  (And when I say monetary gain I'm referring to the site's currency, Viz.)  I believe it's for both, but don't hold me to that! LOL

This also in part answers your question about the shop.  Most of those things that seem pretty useless now are there for the battle system.  Certain items you buy will increase stats like your defense, offence, and health points.  Other items in the shop however, give you certain abilities in the Game Room. One item will let you create Netplay sessions for example, while other items will allow you to play all games under a certain system for free (so you won't have to pay viz).  Each item has a description which tells what it does.
