As of Today, 12-06-12, Vizzed Board is 8 years old!

This year on vizzed we've seen some of the biggest RGR Plugin updates! Sega CD, Netplay, Video Recording, Arcade/MAME and many other new systems and features. In 2013, Vizzed will focus on expanding the site in other directions. There will be a few more RGR Plugin updates but there's been just way too much money invested into the Plugin over the past year, well over $5000 and nearly $10,000 since the RGR Plugin launched. Of course the Retro Game Room will still stay alive and continue to have new games, features and content added to it but non-RGR features that you can expect to see in 2013 includes a Battle Arena, new Item Shop, Avatar Creator, Video Game Music, Flash Game Room and much more!

Member of the Year: legacyme3
This guy has basically committed his life to vizzed over the past 2 years and especially the past year after taking over for geeogree after geeogree stepped down. As of today, he has stepped down from staff but in the past 2 years he has done more than what most staff members could do in 5 or even 10 years (no offense to any other staff members, I'm just trying to emphasis how much legacyme3 has contributed).

Not only has he been the most well known user on vizzed, he's also been the most informed user on vizzed. I could basically go to him and ask him about any user and he'd have great feedback. Basically everyone knows him and he knows everyone and that's why he's been ahead of the moderators for the past year. Not everyone has liked him but that's because he's great at enforcing the rules and doesn't hold back in fear of what others might say or do. It's also saying a lot when he's only the 2nd ever user to have his name withheld from the Vizzed Award voting (I'm the other of course).

Jeez, 3 awards on my first year involved. I'm not really sure what to say! I really appreciate it, and thanks to everyone who voted for me!

Year of the newbies indeed. We had more newbies than many of us would tolerate, but at least some of them proved their worth and joined the staff. The most active posters may have lost their motivation or moved on to other things, but we're still here to experience the world's destruction as the online family we are.

JigSaw : You seem to be slowing on the in your posts. Where did it go?

I'm not really surprised looking at most of these results. Though I personally expected Galacta to win Best Female Member because he's cool like that.

Getting third place on something despite only ever being in the chat room surprised me though.

My favourite has to be Singelli: - She is the best helpful person you'll ever see.

First off, I think the wordiest user category is crazy. You have David and I in 2nd and 3rd. Now, 25,000 words seems like a lot, but that is really pretty close. But then you have leggy who is literally double the 2nd place word count. Insane.

Nice to see I got the RGR Highscore award again. Although I'm sure I can expect what happened last year. People see it and make me defend my scores. Last year I had to reclaim 9 of them back after the awards

rcarter2 : I'm pretty sure his average words per post went up by like 25 in the past year. He use to be in the 30s, now he's in the upper 50s.

I'm honored. Member of the year.

Its been an honor to work with everyone. I'll miss you all as I start this new chapter in my life. I feel like I just graduated from high school and I'm leaving all you underclassmen behind. This place has been a huge part of my life the past two years and we've had a lot of good memories together.

I don't regret a moment of it. There were trying moments but we ultimately learned from our mistakes and became better for it.

I'll really miss the staff more than anything. They got to know me better than anyone else here and I'd like to think the inverse is also true.

I'll still be around... but I won't be active. If you see me around feel free to drop me a pm. Now that my tiring job is over you can talk to me.
