Welcome to Sega Rally...wait! This is not a review about Sega Rally...oh well. Might just go ahead and tell you all about this game called Top Gear Rally. You might be wondering, why am i reviewing the first one,and not the second one? Well, because i believe this game is actually Sega Rally's rival! The second one has some nice features, like you being able to generate tracks, but this one has more charm.
It's just like Sega Rally, except the track doesn't feels like it's made of soap, and it is much more stylish. This game could be called Sega Rally 64 : Rich Edition. Maybe you don't understand what i mean, but this game is good nonetheless. There is a fair variety of cars, and some of them are intriguing. The graphics are ok,i think it could have been better.
But then, here comes the soundtrack...just when you start the game, you are introduced to one of the most deep songs in video-game story. And no matter how many times you hear it,it will never get dull. It is just that kind of soundtrack that gets you in the mood for some serious rally racing. Just like if you were entering the tournament, and your life depended on it. So serious.
The game has all the modes you will ever need.Arcade,Championship,Time Attack,Multiplayer...you name it. There is also an addicting feature that allows you to paint your car. It might just seem like you're painting the car,but you might be a making a totally new car. The game's difficulty is fairly challenging, with the first races being a piece of cake. Hm...cake...i love cake. But,the cake is a lie! After some time racing, you will see some annoyning glitches. They mostly occur when you jump at certain places,so be careful about that.
Also,i should probably note, this game doesn't works perfectly here in Vizzed.com. In fact,it is really not enjoyable to play this game using MupenPlus64,but if you try 1964...then you might get a different result...or not. Just warning. So,basically, that's it. This game is an exotic experience to be sure .Play it if you think Sega Rally is not the right game for you. This game might help those who are looking for a Gran Turismo-ish game on Vizzed. The cars don't handle ridiculously well like in Need for Speed,so you will have to train to be the best. Now,i have to go paint my cars... Welcome to Sega Rally...wait!
