Through out the game you are really basically only going from npc's to npc's dueling them (and dueling some iconic characters such as Rex, yugi, etc for more DC (deck capacity) and building up your card collection for a formidable deck. The "Ghosts" are a group of npc's who are going around causing havoc throughout  the tournament searching for the "rare cards' Which are the god cards,the "Ghosts" are the main antagonist group of the game. The ending wasn't the best, you lose all the god cards and basically all the "friends" you made throughout the game just suddenly part there own ways which kinda puts you in a jam and limits you to dueling only a few select npc's after the game is through. But regardless I enjoyed the game thoroughly.
